Hi, this might sound a bit silly but it’s been on my a lot and I need an outside perspective.

Last year I used to see this guy on the bus pretty often. We never talked, just exchanged looks a feeeew times. At some point I noticed he even pointed me out to his mom once, which was kinda weird but also made me think he noticed me too.

After a while I stopped seeing him and assumed that was it.

Fast forward to this year, I started university and somehow we ended up in the same class (there are many groups, so it felt like a coincidence). The first time we saw each other again, it was kind of awkward, like we both recognized each other.

Since then, we keep running into each other a lot. Sometimes in random places at uni, even when we don’t share that class. One time he sat next to me on the bus, and there’s definitely been eye contact and some tension, but neither of us actually says anything.

Here’s where it gets confusing: I followed him on Instagram, he followed me back, but then a couple days later he unfollowed me (but didn’t remove me as a follower).

Now I don’t know what to think.

Was there actually something there and he got nervous? Or am I just overinterpreting normal coincidences and looks?

Also, for context, I’m 25 and he’s around 19, so maybe that plays a role too 😰

I feel like there was some kind of mutual interest, but now I’m second guessing everything.

Any thoughts?
