2nd degree burn from hot water

I got this burn last Thursday from spilling hot water.

Pics 1-3 are today, Pic 4 from Friday, and the rest from immediately after the incident.

I've been doing neasporin + large bandage. It seemed like it was healing well because there was no pain or signs of infection. The bandage stayed on very well. But it started to irritate my skin and I just switched to gauze roll + tape yesterday after I ran out of the bandaids. But the tape keeps coming off and I'm worried it's irritating the wound more than the bandage.

Also, the right side of my wound formed a blister starting last night which didn't exist on the first 2-3 days.

Does this seem to be healing OK? What products do you recommend? I'm thinking of switching to hydrocolloid and it seems like I'd need to get the roll type given the size of my wound; do they stay on well and do they irritate your skin?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Prayed the full Office for the first time :0

I made a private retreat with a Benedictine twin community of monks and nuns last weekend and it was truly heavenly! I prayed all the hours with them between Friday vespers (first Vespers for Assumption) and Sunday Lauds before driving back to attend Mass at my home parish. I think they use the Solesmes monastic office? All were chanted in Latin except Vigils which was in English. The Vigils were prayed separately -- The monks prayed earlier in the large church while the nuns prayed a bit later in their house chapel. I joined the nuns in their house and I loved how intimate it felt and just the experience of prasing the Lord with them at the break of dawn. I already can't wait to go back and I wish I could be there for longer.

I usually try to pray the hinge hours with my friends while in school using one of the apps but haven't really been doing it during the summer because it feels awkward praying by myself😅 but I should go back to praying it regularly.. Hopefully one day I can get a physical copy of the breviary

Father reposting inappropriate videos on social media

I am no longer his parishioner but he was my pastor when I went thru OCIA. He's been one of the most influential figures in my reversion, and this man taught me how to pray, how to make pursuit of holiness the biggest purpose of my life, and helped me go through difficult times personally.

I won't be too descriptive but today I noticed that he had reposted an AI-generated video of a woman with a huge bust in a tight fitting outfit saying something provocative.. I had seen him liking a few reels of similar nature in the past and I just turned a blind eye thinking it must have been a mistake...

Once or twice it could be algorithm suggesting weird posts as it happens to me and maybe he accidentally hit like or repost without noticing. But as it's happening multiple times it's hard to ignore. I just don't understand how because he's literally connected with hundreds of his students and parishioners on his account.

He was genuinely one of the holiest men I've met and shaped my faith so much as I stated above. He was never afraid to preach about sins or "controversial" teachings but also did it with a heart full of tender love on our college apostolate. He was on fire, full of zeal, and looked up to by so many people. I went to adoration today and prayed for him and for chastity and purity of heart of all of us but most espeically for the clergy. But I don't know what else am I supposed to do... Would it be ok to message him and tell him this seems inappropriate? Or should I just stay quiet and pray for him? Sorry for ranting here beacuse I do not want to cause scandal or engage in gossip which makes it difficult to ask about this to people I know IRL.

Where do you get your flowy maxi skirts?

i have a white one from brandy melville but i want more in different colors, especially in navy blue. i think i’d prefer a smocked waist over drawstring but i’m open to different options.

Women's everyday sneaker recommendation pls!

I'm trying not to own multiple things that serve the same/similar purpose. I'm looking to buy a new pair of everyday sneakers as my sambas are getting holes after 2 years.

Here are some of my considerations

  1. Goes well with most of casual outfits -- I wear my ballet flats with anything dressier so it doesn't have to be super pretty, but I'd avoid something really chunky or athletic. A little bit of sporty look is fine but hopefully something that doens't look like gym shoes. I have a pretty average female college student's style and sambas have been serving me pretty well in terms of looks. As for color I'd go for either white or white+gray/beige
  2. Water resistant -- Obviously I don't expect that much from sneakers, but something that can hold up a bit of rain would be great. What annoys me the most now is that because I got little holes in my shoes' sole, my socks get immediately wet when there's any amount of rain. Same with my workout shoes, these get wet from the toes even with the tiniest amount of moist on the ground. So for this pair I'd love to buy shoes that is a bit more water resistant. I wear blundstones all throughout fall-spring tho so snow doesn't matter.
  3. Good for walking -- I easily walk 15k steps per day while on my campus. Tbh I don't feel any pain even if I walk a lot in my sambas despite them having no cushion, but idk if that's just because I'm still young and I'm thinking it'll be better to start thinking about my health sooner rather than later.

I think any of those 'walking shoes for traveling in Europe' recs would also fit what I'm looking for.

Right now the brands I'm considering are Cloud On, New Balance, and Adidas (how are campus 00s?) but pls I'm open to any recs!!
