and what makes it his name even funnier is that he was the running mate for a guy called George McGovern (before having to pull out of the race.) imagine if he didn’t lose in a complete landslide (he only won massachusetts and dc) and we had a president named McGovern. I wonder if we’ll have a character named George McGovern?

edit: I just realized that if this is correct that means eagleton canonically is extremely depressed and have attempted suicide leading to hospitalization many times. thats really dark for the horny cold war comedy show..
