like genuinely how is they scary I don’t get it

edit: let me explain what I mean here because a lot of people seem not to understand, im wary of them and aware of my surroundings if im near like swamp (as most people should be) but im simply just not DEATHLY afraid of them.

edit 2: appearantly all “deathly afraid” means is that your afraid of something killing you. I thought it just meant like really really scared of something. Also I had no idea that that girl got her arms ripped off I wasn’t trying to be insensitive sorry

After months of research and hearing many different opinions I think I got something pretty good. As the title says im still open to criticism.

i wont be explain tier 4 and 3 because they’re obvious.

tier 4, aka the deep south:

-mississippi

-louisiana

-alabama

-georgia

-south carolina

tier 3:

-arkansas

-tennesee

-north carolina

-virginia

tier 2:

-west virginia, very culturally southern state but a different type of southern, south appalachia southern

-kentucky, it Is southern but not tier 3 or 4 level southern, I may be wrong about this (correct me if so)

-texas, mainly its own culture and the east isnt southern but still shares southern characteristics regardless

-florida, ive spent like almost my entire life here, and likewise texa, its mainly it’s own culture but still shows southern characteristics and historically has been considered southern

tier 1:

-Maryland, I was born here. it’s most commonly considered midatlantic but I believe certain areas, such as the delmarva peninsula and more rural parts are atleast tier 1 southern. although a state having a southern accent (which maryland doesnt) can be a good way to determine it I don’t believe that should be a deciding factor. its been historically considered southern until only fairly recently and also the mason-dixie line.

-delaware, like maryland, similar arguments can be made. Such as the mason-dixie line.

-oklahoma, they have a lot of similarities with texas in ways so it feels wrong for them not to atleast get tier 1

-missouri, although controversial and mainly midwestern, the southern parts can be southern and historically the state was considered southern and a former slave state
