My 6th month riding the 5mg train. Who else is still rocking the 5mg?
There were a few weeks where I thought I had stalled but my doctor recommended to stay at 5mg as it was trending in the right direction.

I was today years old when I found out that Frisco has bus service to Houston, Austin and San Antonio.
I only found when driving by and saw bunch of people with luggage around a Red Coach bus and two cop cars at the Mercantile parking lot.
Shake Shack is reportedly adding ~10% to the posted prices if No Tipping is selected.
I’m fortunate to work at a remote-first company, and one thing that always gets under my skin is the number of people who somehow manage to turn every meeting into a conversation about why we need another in-person meetup for “collaboration” or “team building.” The constant nagging will make execs question if RTO has any merits.
Let’s be honest. A lot of the time, it has very little to do with collaboration.
How do I know? Because nobody is volunteering to collaborate from offices in India, Michigan, Nebraska, or North Dakota. Somehow the suggestions are always Singapore, Dublin, NYC, or SFO.
Had a blast on a Monday at Fan Fest. Those influencers, who are clueless about futbol, complaining on TikTok after choosing to go to games with the largest fan base in the area.
Does anyone know if there is food available for purchase at the FC Dallas Soccer Celebration on weekdays and if so, what kind of food is available? I'm wondering if we should dine in before heading to the last game of the night.
Went to the FIFA Fan Fest today and had a great time. First off, the volunteers and most of the staff were incredibly friendly and brought a fun, festive atmosphere. It was cool seeing international visitors get a taste of Southern hospitality.
We got there about 30 minutes before opening and had no trouble finding parking. It was $30 but parked steps away from the entrance. We stayed for both the Switzerland vs. Qatar and Brazil vs. Morocco matches. The first game wasn’t too crowded, with more people lining up for bracelets than watching the match, but the Brazil game drew a much bigger crowd.
It was hot, but today’s breeze made it manageable. There were plenty of free activities to keep kids entertained. As expected, food and drinks were double the normal price, but I appreciated that the food vendors were local businesses serving some good options, even though they weren’t allowed to advertise their restaurants. The fresh fruit stand by the playground was also a nice touch in the heat.
Security was very visible, with plenty of event staff, first responders, and Dallas police throughout the venue. They didn’t allow any non clear large bags and only empty water bottles were allowed. Pro-tip, buy water because the one at the hydration station is hot and tastes weird.
Jesus, it has been an exhausting couple of months reading the headlines lately. It feels like our city is constantly in the national spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
I don’t know what it was like here 5 or 10 years ago, but I really miss the times when the biggest national news about us was just how we're one of the best places to live and raise a family. Remember when our biggest, most unifying complaints were just awful traffic, overgrown grass, and coyote attacks?
While it's true that no single mayoral candidate could have completely controlled some of the negative attention, looking at Rod’s strategy makes it clear where we're heading. He's adopting national-level political tactics, which means we are looking at a constant culture war, endless controversy, and non-stop conflict just so he can have the ammunition to stay in power.
Let's be honest: the only campaign promises that actually helped him get into the runoffs are things a mayor doesn't even have the authority to change. It’s all just rhetorical messaging designed to invite more conflict and bad attention.
We need to vote for Hill to shoo some of these outsider troublemakers away, and honestly, that goes for both sides. Let's get back to focusing on our actual community.
I don’t usually order chicken tenders anywhere because the chances of them being dry or bland are 50/50. But I ordered some from the True Texas BBQ counter for the kiddos, stole one, and it was very good. Crispy on the outside, well-seasoned, and very juicy on the inside. I went back and got some for myself. Probably the trick is that they are cooked to order, as opposed to some chains that pre-make them in anticipation of the rush hour.
Nice try Rod, but the lawsuit says more about the politics behind it than it does about Hill.
The case was based on an aggressive interpretation of electioneering during a primary that would set the tone for the school voucher scam.
What gets lost is what Hill and the FISD board were actually advocating for: public education (Duh?). While a small group of wealthy interests pushed vouchers as "school choice," the program that ultimately passed, as we know now, largely subsidizes wealthy families already in private schools while holding private institutions to different standards than public schools.
Whether you agree with Hill or not, the lawsuit wasn't about personal gain. It was about a public official taking a side in a debate over the future of public education. To many Texans, that's not corruption. That's leadership.
If standing up for public education gets you sued, maybe we're asking the wrong questions about Mark Hill.
Just found out about 88.1 even though apparently it’s been around for 4 years. Pretty solid alt-rock/indie station, commercial free, and run by UNT.
Resellers in for a treat?
😂 that’s a good recipe to get rid of bad customers.
Edit: Maybe I’m not used to rambling reviews, but the reason why the review came across to me as entitled is because if the wine was actually bad, flat, or improperly served, why isn’t that the main premise of complaint instead of “ordering wine at a bar was a mistake?” and “and the bartender having a chip on their shoulder?”
Furthermore, there is no incentive for the bartender to behave like that unless the customer was a pain in the butt because they make money off tips and not by saving the restaurant money.
I don’t want to jinx it but Booyah! to the Frisco Dome.
I see that the official FIFA Fan Festival is going to be at Fair Park. What are going to best watch parties around Frisco?
