After a year of development, we're opening the beta for our mushroom cultivation app, Hypha

Hey everyone,

We're Sharon, Kaylee, and Derick from Demeter Mycolabs.

Over the last year we've been building Hypha, a cultivation app for mushroom growers that combines grow tracking, strain lineage, inventory, scheduling, and environmental monitoring.

We're opening the beta and would love feedback from growers of all experience levels.

Come try it out and let us know what sucks and what stole your socks :)

[actives] Thai Koh Samui, I love liner

First time using a liner, and I’ve gotta say… I’m in camp liner now. Definitely see conflicting opinions on liners but, for me personally, I’ve had a lot of issues with side pinning in the past. Seeing this flush come in like this was pretty encouraging.

The second photo shows the average fruiting conditions:

• CO₂: ~1200 ppm
• Relative Humidity: 81%
• Temperature: 77°F

I was on vacation while these were fruiting, so I wasn’t able to adjust the monotub fan. Ideally, I would’ve liked to see lower CO₂ levels and a bit more fresh air exchange, but all things considered, I’m cool with how they turned out.

[gourmet] Maitake Timelapse

I started this Maitake spawn back in January and FINALLY got my first harvest!

I think I may have found my new favorite gourmet mushroom. When these crisp up in a pan, all those ruffled layers are 🤌. Definitely worth the wait.

This grow spent about 6 months going from spawn to harvest, and fruited in north spore’s boomr bin for 2 weeks.

Throughout fruiting I tracked the environment with Hypha so I know exactly what conditions produced this flush:

Average fruiting conditions:

🌡️ 64°F
💧 89% RH
🌬️ 637 ppm CO₂

What gourmet mushroom do you think is the most worth the wait?

[gourmet] Lion’s Mane Timelapse

This was the final week of fruiting for this Lion’s Mane. Watching its “hairs” grow out and live up to the name is seriously fascinating.
