TIL Some Pangasinan Beaches Have Sunrise Instead of Sunset

Just been recently to Bolo Hills beach in Alaminos.

I was expecting a sunset but never happened. We got a sunrise instead. It totally threw me off knowing Pangasinan is on the west side.

Apparently, the cove is facing the Luzon mainland and not the West Philippine Sea, and on clear days, you will be able to see Baguio and La Union from the shore.

It was a mind blowing fact and still trying to grasp it.

Just sharing.

Awful Traffic in Labrador-Sual

We usually spend our summer getaways in Bolinao. And there’s always traffic in this area. If it’s not talipapa, there’s road construction. Major chokepoint.

Bumped Off From A Flight - Solo Travel

I will be attending the Pokemon GO Fest this May and we have booked our flight as soon as the dates were announced last December. So this wasn’t on a seat sale.

I have booked my own flight as a solo flyer.

This March I have received a notice that my flight has been moved from Thu afternoon to the following day morning (Fri) and it says no action is needed if you are going to accept the new flight.

I would be losing a half day of gameplay as the city explorer pass is purchased per day but I thought I could save on accommodation and PTO.

So I did nothing to accept the new flight and contacted my hotel to adjust the date that I will be checking in the following day.

Fast forward yesterday, I was surprised to see a final reminder email on rebooking my flight. I thought everything was okay until I have reviewed my booking in the app and it shows a “disrupted” status. Upon checking, my new flight schedule is no longer available (Fri morning) so I had to go back to my original date (Thu) and choose the morning flight.

Now, it’s no longer an option to change back my hotel accommodation to the original date so I had to scramble finding a new one. Prices have doubled since December so I had to book a capsule hotel.

Got stressed the last minute.

I would understand if the ticket was on a promo fare to be easily bumped off from flights but this was purchased on a regular price.

Also the fact that getting advice from them that “no action was needed” was misleading.

In such cases, do not trust Cebu Pacific. Rebook, select the flights yourself, and get booking confirmation.

Solo travellers beware.

Group bookings are mighty.

Just want to understand why would people would post or share that they are grieving in social media.

I would prefer to do it privately and not to burden or cause any distress to anyone.
