I boymode at work. Im a tour guide. When i have trans people on my tours they stare daggers into my soul. What does this mean?
So I work as a tour guide. Im a trans woman but i boymode at work because my boss was born in the 40s.
On my last tour I was taking everyones tickets.
As Im taking them, This little girl went up to me. She said "Are your nails painted"
I said "yes, they glow in the dark"
And then she said "are you a boy or a girl?"
I said "ummm, boy". Because I boymode
Awkward af. But whatever. She was probably just confused by my long hair and painted nails.
But after that interaction an old lady from a different family went up to me. She patted me on the back and said "its okay".
Now im really confused. Do people think im a trans man??? Was she consoling me because of an akward interaction or because she thought i got misgendered?? Am i reading too much into this???
