Urza, Chief Artificer discussion

I have had this deck for a long time and went through all the possible iterations.

People hate this guy.
Seriously.
You can comfortably get him out on T4 with a dork and 4 lands, and people will almost certainly start to freak out.
Now, you don't have to tell me making a Karnstruct a turn is indeed strong, but I have never seen a commander eat so much removal in my entire career.

If I ramp him out, somebody will immediately send a removal his way.
What's more interesting is the same people will comfortably overlook stronger commanders or value engines that are more threatening right away than Urza is.

This always results in me losing momentum, and the focus I receive gives the edge to somebody that ends up stealing the game because I can't pressure them anymore and people already used up their interaction on my board.

Before you ask, yes I do run counterspells and protection.
There is so much I can do, because Urza is simply perceived as problematic and I can't possibly get around a whole table focusing on me.

There are too many players that fail to realize wasting a removal early on something that isn't threatening them right away is a dumb move.

You hold up interacton to stop combos, avoid a lethal swing, or remove a piece that left unchecked 1 turn might as well win the game.

Urza does not check the mark.

The pattern is I play Urza, somebody will look at it ands say "Wow THatS ScarY!!!"
And the next dumbass in line will cast swords to plowshares on it (in their turn because god forbid using stuff at instant speed) on T4, when the game is starting out and there is no reason to waste interaction. I am tired of doing hard politics each time to be able to have my commander stay on the field at least one turn.

I am not saying I expect people to not interact with my commander, which IS strong.
I am saying I am tired of dealing with removal as soon as I cast him regardless of the board state, because someone can't reason their plays instead of acting on a whim.
I also can't allow myself to hold him for a later turn, because the only play pattern with him is to play Urza early.

I can't play Mono U Terror

I am nearing 100 games with this deck, but it still feels like I have learned nothing. I read people talking about this deck as fast, consistent, powerful etc. but I can't make it work no matter how much I play, no matter how much I try to learn it. I never, NEVER hit the snakes as soon as I need and when I do, people have answers. My hand is always empty despite the 30 cantrips. The counterspells never seem to be impactful.

I really don't understand what I am doing wrong and it makes me sad because I put a lot of effort into it, and in good spirit...

Sorcery doesn't look that good.

I know lately there are a lot of people advocating for this game, but when I saw the cards I wasn't impressed at all.

The biggest selling point should be the artwork. Don't get me wrong they are well made, but the subjects are bland and generic, almost text-book fantasy tropes. Mtg is quite derivative as well, but they manage to take inspiration from mythology or classics and come up with something new and interesting.

Also every card being full-art is not my jam at all. Might be a personal preference, but the layout is very important, visually speaking. It makes a game recognizable and iconic. Sorecry is simply too bland and unimaginative, with no art direction other than pretty paintings. Just my two cents

Oltraggio a pubblico ufficiale.

Conto titoli, ETF e banche
