Should I get an RX 9060XT with a new cpu, or a 9070 and keep my Ryzen 5 3600xt cpu?

I play space marine 2 mainly. I tested a 9060xt with my current cpu and I struggled to stay above 55fps on 1080p Native Ultra settings, and sometimes dropping to 45 in fights. I was wondering if I should get myself one of these cards with a new cpu, or just get a 9070.

Basically I'm new to this and I'm not sure if it's my cpu that's causing the issue or the gpu. I also don't want to spend above £600 in total if I can avoid it, but I don't mind going over to add a new cpu if needed because I'd really like the 9070. My only reservation is if it will work with my current 700w psu. I did want a 9070xt but I don't think it'll work with only 700w on my psu.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Edit 1: Regarding the cpu, I'd prefer not to spend more than £200 on it.

Edit 2: I'm willing to wait around 3 months to see if prices drop. Then I might be able to get both a 9070 and a new cpu? Maybe even a second-hand gpu?

Bought a new gpu. If I need to return it for any reason and reinstall my old one, would the process with the driver installation be the same?

I'm switching from an rx 5500 xt to a 9060 xt. I just need to know if the process of switching back to my old one will be the same as switching to the new one incase I find a fault with the new gpu and need to return it.

I'm relatively new to the horror genre.

From the story rich games I played, I enjoyed:

  • SOMA
  • Skolios

I wasn't a fan of the silent hill or resident evil games.

I don't mind gore but I don't enjoy a game when it has nudity. Especially when it's repetitive.

Looking for recommendations based on these tastes. I watched a playthrough of A quiet place and that didn't look too bad either. Any suggestions?
