DIY Florals

DIY Florals

Looking for advice!

I am getting married in December and planning on DIYing my florals. I understand it it a pretty large undertaking but I am a SAHM and planning on enlisting tons of help from mom, MIL, and bridesmaids once it comes time to assembling things. That being said, if you did your own florals, what was the most useful resource for you? What were some tips that you wish you had known when prepping? What are your feelings on fake vs real?

I’ve attached a screenshot of one of my pintrest boards of our vibe for the wedding and we are planning on keeping things relatively simple, our venue already has quite a bit of tropical greenery all over so we are also leaning on that aspect of the venue to make things easier on us.

Thank you in advance for any advice!!!

Decorate our own cake?

Hi! I am getting married in December and we are trying to cut costs wherever we can by focusing on things that guests and ourseves will actually remember. That being said, getting a bakery to do a wedding cake is very expensive no matter how simple the design! I’ve been toying with the idea of getting plain white round cakes from a bakery that I know is delicious and entrusting one of my family members to place some of our themed flowers on the cake to tie it into everything. Has anyone done this? Any tips for making it come out actually looking good? I’ve attached a inspo pic to show what we are kinda going for. Thanks in advance!

How does everyone go about overnights away from their cosleeping baby? My 8 months old and I have been cosleeping for about a month now, and I have had my in laws and sister babysit him for a few hours during the day (longest time was about 7 hours when we had a wedding to go to and he was sleeping in a crib at the time so this wasnt an issue).

My fiancee and I are getting married in December and we would like to go on a shortish honeymoon of 3-4 days and do a much longer honeymoon later on down the line when baby can communicate and I am more comfortable and no longer breastfeeding, etc. I plan on having whichever set of grandparents he is more comfy with at the time come and stay with him at our house so he is in his comfort space and its already babyproofed lol

My question is how does it work with a cosleeping baby being left with other caregivers? I am NOT comfortable with anyone else cosleeping with my baby, no matter the relation. Ideally I wouldnt leave him for any overnights until he can talk and sleeping on his own but I do want to go on my honeymoon, even if it is just for a few days.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Looking for advice, my LO just turned 8 months and was a great sleeper until he started teething about 4-6 weeks ago. Prior to this, I would nurse him to sleep and put him in his mini crib next to our bed around 7PM and he would sleep great with only 1 or 2 wake ups the whole night. These past few weeks have been hell with his sleeping. He is waking me up every hour on the hour. His cries are just screaming at the top of his lungs so any soothing I try to do without picking him up is futile. I usually give up around 3 or 4 AM and put him in bed with me so we can both get some real rest. I really dont want to be cosleeping though because my husband is a very heavy sleeper and I want our bed to be our bed for the most part (he usually vacates to the couch halfway through the night because he has to go to work in the morning). I have recently taken him down to two naps thinking maybe he was getting too much daytime sleep but it hasnt made a difference. He only contact naps or sleeps in his car seat on car rides. His wake windows right now are 2.5/3/3.5 or 4. Looking for any advice but I will say I my husband and I tried Ferber before he started teething and we do not have it in us to listen to him cry like that so we will not be doing Ferber or CIO.

Any advice is appreciated!
