British Infantry Update – New Heads, Revised Poses & Updated Weapons!

Hi everyone!

We've been making some changes to our upcoming 28mm hard-plastic British Infantry kit, and wanted to share the latest progress.

We've refined the head options, reworked several poses, updated the GPMG, added more equipment options and confirmed six SA80 rifle sets per frame, including an underslung grenade launcher.

A lot of these changes have come directly from community feedback, so thank you to everyone who's contributed so far!

We've put together a development blog showing the latest sculpts and explaining what's changed and why.

You can check it out here:

https://www.warfront.co.uk/blogs/news/british-infantry-whats-changed-and-why

As always, we'd genuinely appreciate your thoughts. Anything you'd like to see changed before we move into production?

Cheers,
Andy – Warfront Studio

We’re making our Warfront miniature giveaway a monthly thing

We ran a giveaway recently and had a really good response to it, so we’ve decided to make it a permanent monthly thing.

Every month, we’ll randomly pick one person from the Warfront newsletter and send them a free box of Warfront miniatures.

There’s no separate giveaway form or monthly entry required. If you’re already subscribed to the newsletter, you’re automatically in the draw each month.

If anyone wants to join the list, you can do so here:

https://www.warfront.co.uk

Hopefully it’s a nice little way of giving something back to the people following the project as we continue growing the range.

Warfront US Infantry – last day at the £27 pre-order price

Hey everyone, Andy from Warfront Studio here!

Quick update on our 28mm hard-plastic US Infantry, production samples are on the way, stock should be arriving with us over the next few days, and we’re getting ready to start shipping pre-orders out.

Today is also the last day of the £27 pre-order price. From midnight tonight (UK time), the box moves to its normal £30 retail price.

Each box contains 35 hard-plastic US Infantry with a range of weapons and options.

Most importantly, a huge thank you to everyone who has already ordered a box or supported the project. Getting our first plastic set to this point has been a massive milestone for us, and we genuinely hope you enjoy them when they start landing on hobby tables.

You can find them here:
https://www.warfront.co.uk/products/us-infantry

Happy to answer any questions about the kit as well!

British Infantry update: we’ve changed the firing poses following your feedback

A few people pointed out that the rifles in our two firing poses were sitting above the shoulder. You were right, so we’ve adjusted them to sit properly in the shoulder.

To make that fit work, we’ve had to hollow out the inside of the rifles. The trade-off is that the arms for those two poses now only fit their intended torsos, rather than being interchangeable with the others in the kit.

It’s a small change, but one we wanted to be upfront about. Thanks to everyone who raised it while we could still make the adjustment.

I’ve put the updated image and a short explanation in today’s blog post: https://www.warfront.co.uk/blogs/news/british-infantry-update-a-better-firing-pose

Working on the British Rifle Arm Firing Poses

Today we are working on the Firing Poses for the British Infantry.
A number of people let us know that the Rifle but should be tucked much further into the shoulder, so we want to make sure that is right prior to launch :)

WE NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS ONE!

As you likely know, We ask the incredibly talented Andy Singleton to do our product painting.

Our ask for the British was:

  1. MTP
  2. Woodland DPM
  3. Desert DPM

Mr Singleton raises a good point, namely that the equipment might look strange in DPM Colours.

So, please comment below Three schemes you think would work well on our British Infantry.

Thanks in advance everyone :)

Win all 3 of our first Warfront releases – completely free

We’re getting close to 5,000 followers on Facebook, but only around 1 in 5 are currently signed up to our newsletter.

Almost-final 28mm British Infantry sculpts, what have we missed?

We’re approaching the final stage of sculpting our multipart hard-plastic British Infantry, and we’d like to open the latest renders up for a final community inspection.

There are already a few corrections on our list, so these aren’t the finished production files. Before we lock everything down, however, we want to know whether we’ve overlooked anything.

We’d particularly appreciate feedback on:

  • Weapons and equipment
  • Uniform, armour and webbing details
  • Anatomy and proportions
  • Poses
  • Anything historically or technically inaccurate

Please be as specific as possible. Mentioning the relevant image and providing a reference is particularly helpful, it makes it much easier for us to review and act on the feedback.

What have we missed?

Work has been continuing on the British Infantry.

We are very close to completing this project, and pre-orders will be open soon.

Our US Infantry painted up as Canadians

Tony Carter from our Facebook community has been busy painting up some of our US Infantry as Canadians, and I thought they were too good not to share!

Really nice seeing people take the kit and do something a little different with it.

These are from our upcoming 28mm hard-plastic US Infantry kit, which releases at the end of September.

For anyone interested, they're currently £27 on pre-order before moving to the normal £30 price on 30th September:

https://www.warfront.co.uk/products/us-infantry

Would love to see what other forces people would make from the kit.

Warfront US Infantry pre-orders end 29 September, £27 before the price rises to £30

A quick update from Warfront Studio: pre-orders for our 28mm hard-plastic US Infantry are coming to an end.

The £27 pre-order price is available until midnight on 29 September. From 30 September, the kit will move to its standard £30 retail price.

Each box contains 35 fully modular miniatures, with a wide selection of heads, weapons and equipment, including options for the M249, Javelin, Stinger and sniper rifle.

You can see the full kit and pre-order here: https://www.warfront.co.uk/products/us-infantry

I’m happy to answer any questions about the kit in the comments.

What matters most to you in a hard-plastic infantry kit?

We’re designing Warfront kits around larger model counts, modular components and plenty of options for customising individual soldiers.

When you buy a plastic infantry kit, what matters most to you: model count, pose variety, weapon options or ease of assembly?

What can you build from one box of our upcoming hard-plastic US Infantry?

We wanted to fit as much flexibility as possible into the Warfront US Infantry box.

Each box contains 35 fully modular 28mm miniatures. You can build them all as riflemen or mix in the specialist weapon options included across the five frames:

  • 5 Javelin operators
  • 5 Stinger operators
  • 5 light machine gunners

I’m part of the team behind Warfront Studio, so I’m obviously biased—but I’d be interested to hear how you would equip and organise the box.

We’ve revealed the Warfront ruleset for the first time—and we’re looking for playtesters

We’ve shared the first official teaser for the rules system we’re developing alongside the Warfront miniature range.

The game is being designed around fast, intense and objective-driven small-unit engagements. We’re not ready to discuss individual mechanics yet, but development is moving forward and we’re beginning to organise our external playtesting group.

If you’re interested in becoming a playtester, email andy@warfront.co.uk with the subject line PLAYTESTING.

Please include a little information about:

  • Your wargaming experience
  • The games you currently play
  • The gaming group or community you would test with

This week’s development post also covers changes to our Early Access system, the latest British Infantry news and the first US Infantry sample frames heading our way.

You can read the full update here:

What should we do with our early US Infantry sample frames?

We’re expecting a fairly large batch of early US Infantry sample frames from our production partner soon, and we’d like the wargaming community’s opinion on how best to use them.

The options we’re currently considering are:

  • Sending them to YouTubers and independent reviewers
  • Fulfilling a limited number of customer pre-orders early
  • Running a community giveaway
  • Sending them to gaming clubs for demonstrations
  • Sending them to retailers as display and demonstration models

What would you prefer to see us do with them?

We’re also open to completely different suggestions. If you recommend sending them to reviewers, please name or link any creators you think deserve one—particularly smaller or growing channels that might otherwise be overlooked.

For transparency, I’m Andy from Warfront Studio, the company developing the kit.
