I live in Bristol right along the train tracks, between two road crossings where I have to listen to them blowing their horns for each road. Times used to be that we'd get a train through a couple times a year.

Now its up to a couple times a DAY!

Anyone know whats going on with the massively increased train traffic coming through?

Quest 3, fully updated and I've noticed this a while back but wasnt sure if it was just me or what but...

My Q3 menus always seem skewed, usually with the left side being higher and the right lower. It feels like its not leveled properly horizontally but I dont know if I can fix it or what. Nothing I do seems to make it appropriately leveled.

I've tried different head positions, leaning left or right, and even aiming in different directions by spinning my chair to face north or east instead of south, for instance, to see if it will help when I hold the Meta button down to re-center things.

Is there any fix for this? I've looked around a bit but havent really seen anyone else talk about this much.

In games and applications like watching a movie, everything FEELS balanced but it might just be that I'm very immersed so its harder to tell than a floating menu.

You know what I absolutely love?

When you've spend several days at a good clip writing ANYTHING: story, characters, arcs, plot, etc etc etc. and you look back at your writing and you give yourself a little smile and mental pat on the back.

Then you open up any published works, usually a favorite book or author, and you read any random paragraph and you go "Wow, what I thought was good just now was actually absolute dogshit when compared to this random paragraph! I'm a failure and will never get published! I should just delete everything I've ever written and set my computer ablaze."

tRump isnt actually in New York to watch the game and doesnt care at all about it. He knows NYC doesnt like him. He's doing it to be petty. TSA-like screening to get in the game, shutting down watch parties at MSG, shutting streets down, taking the most expensive VIP seats from prominent New Yorkers, and disrupting the city in general thats excited for the finals.

Thats why he visibly fell asleep at the game. Thats why he smiled when they booed. It was his "Fuck me? No no no, fuck all of you who!" moment.

You've had a hard day at work and your boss lets you off your shift a bit early. You go to Ten Forward (which is located on and named for DECK TEN, FORWARD PART OF THE SHIP PICARD!!!!) and knock back a few synth drinks, sober up and go back to your quarters at a normal time.

Your partner asks where you've been, and you say, "working''.

Then your partner says: "Computer, tell me where my partner has been for the past hour".

The computer cheerily pipes in: "Lieutenant XYZ has been in Ten Forward knocking back synthehol for the past hour."

Or you and your spouse are having difficulties because they're over-possessive and you're at the stage where you're considering divorce but before you can do that, you get a new Orion coworker and start knocking some green boots. You get back to your quarters and your spouse has a detailed timeline of basically every step you took from when you left your quarters that day.

Heck, even someone who is a stalker can just go "Computer, locate XYZ who I am obsessed with" and the computer will tell anyone EXACTLY where anyone else is.

The computer is a little snitch and doesnt mind spilling the beans on anyones business!
