Any watch fans in here? Here is a vitreous enamel watch dial I made

Hello!

I believe this would fall under the fused category, someone please correct me if I’m wrong for future posts!

Here is an enamel watch dial I created! So far I am just working on using opaque Thompson enamels, but my goal is to eventually try my hand at cloisonné and champleve!

One of the biggest constraints for watches is the thickness of the dial… happy accident that I hit 1mm on the dot on this go around :)

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks!

Vitreous Enamel Watch Dial for ST3600: Blog Post #3

Good Morning!

I have been working on creating enamel glass watch dials. Would this group be interested in following along the journey?

After creating this first dial, I thought to see if people would be interested in buying dials to make their own custom ST3600 watches. Would people in here be willing to buy these?

Thanks and enjoy!

Grand feu enamel dial prototype

Here is a royal blue enamel dial I made yesterday! I used sifting this time around and it worked great.

Third picture shows how the color of the blue changes so much depending on the light. Enamel in person is really incredible to see.

Last picture is the small seconds wheel from the ST3600 movement. I had to trim it down so it would fit under the dial. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a pin vice or a better way to hold small gears? The one I was using was not great.

Full write up coming soon of my process for making this!

Lights, Clean Up, Action! (blogpost #2)

Good morning all!

Here is my second post documenting my journey creating an enamel dial watch brand. This is a shorter post, showing some of the progress I have made getting my workspace ready.

I outline my plans for next week and there's a chance to help pick which color I prototype with next!
