Recommended books, online sites, youtube channels, etc., to learn 2/1

I'm taking a beginner bridge course offered by the local bridge club in town. They play / teach 2/1, but I'm getting super confused and would like to supplement the lessons by reading beginner books, watching videos, and ideally practicing bidding & playing bridge against bots. Unfortunately everything I've found teaches the American Standard system. Can anyone recommend resources that teach the 2 / 1 system? Thx!

Advice requested--buy new gear, or pay to have old (20+ years) gear serviced?

I used to dive a lot, but then life happened & I stopped. This gear was serviced (but never subsequently used again) & has been in climate controlled storage for last 10+ years.

I'm now retired & want to start diving again, & I'm trying to decide what's the best course of action--pay to have this gear serviced, or buy new gear? I can afford to buy new gear if that's the prudent choice, but I don't want to spend the extra money if it's not necessary.

Are there any compelling reasons to not have this gear serviced? Are replacement parts hard to source (including in SE Asia)?

Boat dives—do you give tip to your dive master or the boat captain?

Seems I read somewhere that the correct etiquette is to tip the boat captain, who will then tip out the crew, but it seems to me that most people tip the DM.

NOTE: I’m referring to smaller day boat trips, not liveaboards

Anyone still have a cassette player who wants some Dead tapes?

I'm looking to gift someone the last of my old Dead tape collection. I've probably got about a dozen Dead tapes left, and then a mishmash of other stuff--JGB, Radiators, The Samples, some cool mixed tapes.

I want them to go to someone who will actually listen to them and not resell on Ebay or whatever (I'm told that's a thing??) so whoever first posts a picture of their tape deck with a scrap of paper that reads "MM@TC" gets them.

Totally free, just pay shipping ($14 for a medium sized priority mail box).

And if anyone has a CD player and wants some CD's, I've got about a dozen of those, too. A few Dead CDs, plus Santana, SRV, Van Morrison, Ray Charles, etc..

What to do with two new / unused Yubikey 5 NCF that I don't want?

I bought two Yubikey 5 NCF direct from Yubikey about 2-3 years ago that I never used & am not going to use. I'm guessing no one would want them due to fears of scams & fears of malware, but if I'm wrong get in touch / DM me.

Not looking to make any money, you can have them for free. I'd rather someone get some use out of them versus just throwing them out.

I'm returning my Jabra CROS Pro 30 hearing aids to Costco. Is it worthwhile to try a different manufacture's brand of CROS hearing aid, or do they all struggle to help wearers understand conversations in noise environments?

I purchased Jabra Pro 30 Enhance aids with CROS functionality from Costco; I have had two follow up appointments to tweak the settings, but I still don't find them that helpful in noisy environments (primarily because they amplify the sound of all backround noise) so I've decided to return them for a refund.

I'm wondering if it's worthwhile for me to make an appointment with a private hearing aid practice or audiology practice to try a different model of CROS hearing aid, or am I most likely going to find have the same experience--i.e., they all amplify sound, so backround noise is always going to be the problem? I don't want to waste anyone's time.

(NOTE: I was evaluated & approved for a cochlear implant, but the surgeon explained to me that it was not uncomon for people who receive CI to still find noisy environments problematic. So since my hearing loss is not debilitating, I have decided to hold off on a cochlear implant for the time being.)

Changes to Coinbase Vault

I received an email from Coinbase today informing me of upcoming “Improvements upgrades to your Vault”.

“We’re introducing Transfer Protection settings to give you more control over account security.

On 6/11/2026, we’ll consolidate your Vault balance with your account balance and apply Transfer Protection settings to your entire account. No action is required.

Custom transfer limits
Start with a $1,000 daily limit on withdrawals from your account.

Safely bypass limits
Verify with multi-approval and time delays for larger transfers.”

So they are going to limit transfers to a max of $1,000, but give me a way to bypass the limits but institute time delays? Imagine a bank or brokerage doing this…
