VPI Turntable hooked into Sonos system
I went into this little experiment thinking the sound was going to suffer. I moved the vintage big stereo down to basement and set up Ark Ultra, Sub 4 and Era 300. I wanted to find away to hook up the turntable so went to YouTube university and found a video on doing this. Dug up the old connect and hooked it up.
I was presently surprised how good the vinyl sounds on the 300s. I run a VPI Scout with a Hanna ML magnetic coil cartridge, speed control box and a parasound preamp. Sounds as good as traditional receiver and speakers. Only caveat is I have to use the app to controls bass, trouble and volume control. Very happy that I reduced the stereo foot print in living room but still have access to our vinyl collection
