Right field seating at Daikin

155 Row 16/17
252 Row 12/13
253 Row 8/9

We have 7 visiting Daikin Park in July (Astros v Rangers). I’m not familiar with this park, anyone know these seats? Which are better?

4 from our group have never been to a game. Don’t have a lot of $$$ to go wild, just trying to get the best experience.

VA IRRRL Mailers

I need to understand what I’m missing here.

I have a VA Loan for ~$750k at 5.75%. P&I on it is ~$4400.

I constantly receive flyers for a 30-year fixed at various rates, the most recent being 3.375% (3.94 APR).

Now, I understand that 3.375% will likely come at multiple points being paid, but am I wrong to think that even with 3 points it’s still a great deal?

If I took the 3.375, rolled the points into the loan balance, I would still break even in ~16months.

New loan (P&I) would be ~$3,300, saving $1,100 each month.

What am I missing? Is it a scam?

1930’s? Dunlap Scroll Saw

Picked this up off the Marketplace a while back, I had the intentions of building a better base, replacing the cord, and fixing the mount location of the motor. Never got around to any of that, but I did pull it into the woodshop today and started looking up what actually have.

Looks like a 1930’s Dunlap with a 12” throat and 2.5” cutting height. The saw base is filled with 30w oil, has an old AC motor and (likely) replacement craftsman pulley.

It was free! Cool piece

VA/ CalVet/ VSO Rep - CA DMV Form

Recently retired from the USMC, got my rating, trying to get things sorted.

Question for those that work for the VA, CalVet, or are VSO’s

If I were to make an appointment with one of you, would you have any clue what “certification” the California DMV is asking for? Is it as simple as bringing the DMV form to an appointment and you verify my 100% P&T and then sign?

Tried calling the DMV and they just reiterated what was on the site.

My buttons broke!?

Has this happened to anyone else? Were you able to replace them pretty easily?

I guess foreign is dependent on where you are located, but for us here in the US, will Chinese battery technology be an option for our conversions?

I’m still in the planning phase of my EV conversion, and I feel like every single day tech is changing and improving. I know I have to eventually pick and start the build, but this article got me thinking…

If BYD and CATL batteries were available in the U.S., would they be compatible with the BMS, inverter, and chargers we use here? I assume charging standards are a separate issue from the battery itself. If I commit to lithium-ion now, would it be possible to switch later to LFP, LMFP, or even sodium-ion without major changes to the conversion? Would it require wire upgrade, charge port change, would the associated hardware be overburdened?
