For those who have had the luxury of hearing all of them, what do you think is the best version of Jeff Wayne’s Musical?
this album has been reissued, remastered, remixed and rerecorded a bajillion times over, and I haven’t heard all of them. I’m getting a copy of the 2005 SACD which includes the 5.1 surround mix, but the atmos mix is only available in the gigantic new boxset and on apple music, of which i have neither. so chances are i’ll never get to (legally) hear it. but for those who have, i’m curious as to which is considered the definitive version of this masterpiece.
