Delivery agent from Popeyes blocked the door, asked for a forced 5 star review and made my wife uncomfortable
EDIT: post is long so I think a lot of you are skipping reading it all. It’s not about rating, it’s about my wife feeling unsafe. And we contacted Swiggy and finally got a call back. She reported the issue and they assured that they will speak with the restaurant’s owner about this.
I was not home when this happened.
She ordered something from Popeyes using Swiggy.
Delivery partner reached the location and called her. She went to the door to receive the order.
He moved closer to gave her the packet. She reached to close the door, he asked her “rating kardo 5 star”
She took out her phone and rated him 5 stars but she didn’t rate the food. He came on 2nd floor so she didn’t mind.
He then asks her “Khaana bhi 5 star rate karo”
Now she got a bit offended and told him “khaana khaake rate karenge na”
To that he replied “khaana acha hi hota hai, ap to rate kardo, mai Popeyes se hi aya hu Swiggy se nahi”
She denied again but he kept insisting and was in the way of the door. He insisted 2-3 times again.
She felt a bit uncomfortable and rated 5 star.
Then he started sharing like “madam hamare targets hote hai isliye bola mai to” and then he left.
Is this the reason why that place is so highly rated?
When I reached home I immediately went to edit the rating. No option to do that. I also reached out to their support to report safety incident.
Classic Swiggy, no option to call or request callback. I am very furious.
