Street is not really my style. Would this count?

As someone working in a studio and on directed, shotlisted jobs, I rarely go out and about just to shoot moments

Picked up a ricoh gr iv to test myself and the camera but we did not really get along.

Anyways, what do you think about the images?

I went for SOOC uploads.
I could try to justify it with some circlejerky fluff about organicity and unfiltered reality but honestly I just felt like shooting JPEG after over a decade of avoiding it like the plague (like I was told and taught) and frankly out of laziness. I’m not too sure about it, I believe it to be a bit of a fad.

Some more, mundane, Mexico looking ahh, passepartout shots I took on the Ricoh GR IV that I’m sending back tomorrow because I don’t really like it that much to be honest.

I love the detail, love the fast and sharp lens paired with a proper big sized sensor for such a tiny camera.

I just kept feeling frustrated about the lack of zoom and background compression in some instances.
It’s also really buggy in terms of software (Quality control seems to be really bad)

I don’t love it. Not enough to justify replacing my current travel camera.

The novelty of the fast bootup and range focusing has worn off fairly quickly and I don’t think I benefited much from it.

Definitely feels far overhyped to me.

Lens doesn’t flushly retract, aperture blades unevenly stopping down. Random “lens error” shutdowns while in playback. Brand new camera. Anyone else has these issues? GRIV

I’ll obviously return it, but it’s very disappointing from such an expensive “premium” point and shoot camera. What were they thinking? QC is really not on par with their reputation

I picked up a GRIV yesterday. First point and shoot I put my hands on since the early 00’s. Absolutely loving it.

I took photos on a CCD nikon digicam for the highlight rolloff and the CCD black vibes and they look like real film but they are digital believe me! I also have a recipe for a lasagne I put on the SD card to use while shooting. I added passepartout to some of the images to show how fine-art they are

I realised that even with an old nikon I can take very good photos because I am a professional photographer and my skills are much greater than a red dot on my camera.

I think I can make any camera into a leica if I wanted. It’s a skill I only just discovered I had.

If you want to learn my process please ask about any of these pictures and I will try to find some time to teach you about them. I am quite busy working as a professional however so might reply a bit late

£5.50 how did I do?

Back for round two after the success of last week. I’ve gone a bit more spenny this time

The film will be released by the end of this month after a private showing. It’s an artist portrait doc I made in a solo production.

(The vintage looking clips are all done with practical effects including the frame, the aberration and the bloom, using a motorised tunnel viewfinder from an old digicam mounted to a phone’s 5x telephoto camera. )
