Something a lot of people might not have noticed during D23 is that they updated their card count for printed cards. It tells us a lot.

AotV Lorecast we were told they printed 2.5 billion cards in the last 3 years (sets 1-12) and during the D23 Lorcana show they said it was now 2.8 billion. (sets 1-13)

This means AotV got (FORGOT ABOUT THE CURATORS OOPSIE POOPSIE) 300 ~250 million cards printed in total. This gives us confirmation of how much they are printing per set nowadays. That means AotV alone accounts for ~8.9% of the total Lorcana cards that are out there. This is very likely the most printed set they have done since the first year of Lorcana. They are absolutely increasing the amount they're printing, but its still not enough to meet demand. Either they were somehow able to negotiate extra printing from MPG or they anticipated this from the very beginning. Either way I expect future sets to continue getting increased amounts of product. Hyperia City will probably be in the realm of ~350 million cards printed. Into the Inkdark will very likely be the most printed set in Lorcana history.

Sadly, with that and the announcement of set 17 next summer, it also kind of confirms we are very likely not going to be getting any reprints for the foreseeable future. And if we do, it will be an extremely low amount of cards printed so all of the potential product they will get out of it will be gobbled up just as fast and will barely impact the prices. They simply do not have the numbers to support reprints right now. So they likely know that it's not worth sacrificing print allocation for that and they're just better off putting it all into the next new set.

I have so many questions

  1. Why is he $35? Are the prices going up or is this just Gamescalp being Gamescalp?

  2. A power-up pack? How is this a power-up pack? Did he power up so much that he died? Lmao

Attack of the Vine has officially sold over 50% of what Wilds Unknown has sold on TCGplayer

Expect very little restocks of AotV for both LGSs and retail. The entire supply for AotV is most likely gone already. Price will very likely crab at $200 for a while before it starts to slowly climb.

Its difficult to say whether the demand for AotV was simply too high or if the rumors of printing being cut even more for this set were true. Either way, hope you guys are ready for 5 consecutive months with no Lorcana on shelves.

Attack of the Vine BBs has now sold 45% of what Wilds Unknown has sold on TCGplayer and its only 4 days after release

"Someone HAS to stop all these boogeyman scalpers! They're buying all of MY cards! I refuse to believe a DISNEY card game has any demand or popularity whatsoever! Its been dead and will stay dead because thats what I want for a cheap gambling fix! I just have to wait for all these boogeyman scalpers to get burned so I can buy again! After all, I'm the only one on Earth that was interested in these cards so the crash should be coming any day now... It'll happen because I want it to happen! Any day now... 😭🤡" /s

In all seriousness, it's good to see Lorcana getting the popularity it deserved. RB has learned a lot in these last 3 years and I have a feeling Disney now has their hand involved due to the poor sales of the first 2 years. Looking forward to Inkdark! Hyperia City I might skip...but we'll see!

PSA: Target will very likely be putting Discord out early

Target's inventory day is coming up and they want everything out onto the floor before then. That includes vendor items. Every Target is likely getting a fat shipment of TCG products and they all have to go out onto the floor by next week.

The shipment at my Target just so happens to have a box labeled "Kayou" and was left behind in the back even though they just stocked Moon 3 on the shelf and had plenty of room for more 🤔

Be sure to check your Targets next week!

I hope you guys are ready for these cards to blow up.

Tomorrow at 12:30pm PST they are announcing the new MLP show. And its all but confirmed to be a reboot of FiM. As someone who was there during the rise of the Big Three, having a show on TV that your card game is based off of is a recipe for big piles of money. Yu-Gi-Oh never recovered from the OG show ending.

Buy what you can before its all gone.

People are going to be disappointed tomorrow and on Friday.

One of two things are going to happen for Attack of the Vine:

- The market price will be barely affected because LGS's sold most if not all of their stock already and retail stores only get single packs and Troves

- The price will plummet but that's only going to cause the amount of sales to skyrocket which will eat up the entire supply very quickly and it will be right back to $200 in no time at all

Good luck to everyone! Hope you have your finger ready on the place order button!

Am I the only one...

With the current state of this new set - scalpers, prices being much higher than usual, and just all the controversy, I am having a hard time getting excited about the pulls I am seeing posted here. Maybe I am thinking the worst, but I find it weird so many people are "1st time with lorcana" or "1st pack" and somehow pulling enchanteds or iconic. Maybe I am bitter than I haven't seen a single booster pack or trove in a store in weeks but I can't tell if the posts are people that are genuinely excited and want to share or people planning to see their cards and humbly brag about their luck. I've been with this since FC and haven't really had this feeling with any other set release before so idk

I've started planting random cards I don't want in carts at my work for kids

If people throw them away, that's cool. I just see it as getting rid of the bulk I don't want and free advertising for Kayou. Win-win ❤️

Proof that 99% of the people buying Lorcana aren't "scalpers" and that its all genuine interest.

Scalpers don't rip product. If it was nearly as bad as people think it is we would not have prices for singles this low already with this many listings, and they're just gonna keep dropping as more flood the market. This is the most expensive play card currently in AotV. Whispers and Winterspell are easily triple this price.

Attack of the Vine has already sold over 20% of the Booster Boxes and over 24% of the Troves that Wilds Unknown has sold

And its still a day before prerelease. Hope Ravensburger doubled down on the printing 🖨️🖨️

Undervalued card highlights of Into the Inklands! Maleficent Mistress of All Evil and Perdita Devoted Mother!

Both of these are good mid game cards that can help turn the tide of a battle! For Perdita specifically, this is also her 1st Legendary in Lorcana! Both are less than $2. These are great pickups for casual play and collecting! 💜💛
