I'm doing the MSF course in a few weeks but would like to get some practice in first.
Only issue is, I don't know anyone who rides in the area. Would anyone be willing to ride with me to do some low speed drills? I have a permit but I need someone who can ride with me.

Looking for my first bike, got the MSF course in 2 weeks and would like to time everything right assuming I pass.
Some background:
Live in a city that the only way round is mostly highways that are 65-75 MPH
Looking for something more long term, I don't want to have to feel like I need to buy a new bike in the next few years
I'm not a speed demon or looking to go insanely fast
Will be something I'd like to take to small errands, eg. going to the gym or going out to grab some food for myself as I work from home
Likely will end up riding 3 hours away once in a while to meet friends
I'm in my 30s
5'8 and 180
Would love some suggestions. I'd prefer new as I want to keep it for a while and I'm not looking to have to spend more time on maintenance than riding when first learning. I will be doing a ton of drills at low speed and plan to get the sliders for whatever I get
I've been looking at the Ninja 650 or the R7
Specifically these as I'd like to one day learn to try track but also want something decent that I can ride till it dies (eg. I still have a 2011 Impreza that I've been driving for years)
Apart from the color of the R7, I really like the idea of having cruise control.
Already have a helmet and plan to get full riding gear. (SEDICI Sistema 3 Carbon)
We use GraphQL for data. How do you handle observability? Would like to hear how other people are doing it before we finalize our approach.
