Hi
Got a 2003 Astra G Automatic which sometimes goes into leap mode.. and the Grounding Cable from the Motor looks like this.. https://ibb.co/5gd97zpx

It needs to be replaced, right? I asked AI and Friends and they both say the Opposite (Needs to be replaced/Doesnt need to be)

Who is right?

Also could this be the root of evil of the sporadic Leap Mode (and/or the P0705 Error)?

Hi yall

i hope im right here with my question (using Deepl to translate.. fyi):

Since February, I’ve been the proud owner of a 2003 Astra G Njoy 1.8 16V (OPEL Astra G CC (T98) 1.8 16V (F08, F48) (92 kW / 125 PS) (09.2000 - 01.2005) based on autodoc) , and so far I’ve only replaced the radio.

Shortly after the purchase, the check engine light came on (it turned out to be the second lambda sensor). A colleague of my dad’s recommended, before we knew what was wrong, to shift through all the gears once with the ignition in position 2 (P-R-N-D-3-2-1) and back again. Since then, I’ve had the following problem:

In the meantime, the automatic transmission went into a sort of "emergency mode." All the gear indicator lights on the shifter lit up, and pulling away from a standstill became difficult and jerky.

It kept happening on and off.

I had also taken the car to the dealer’s shop with this problem, and after a test drive during which he read the error codes, he showed me this error (or a similar one, since I later read this error code myself using my OBD2 scanner):

P0705 [0x0705] Transmission range (TR) sensor, PRNDL input - circuit malfunction Status: Pending

About a month ago, I had the battery replaced because it had a short circuit. Strangely enough, it then worked fine for a good 2,000 km (1,242.742 miles).

No engine stalling or other issues with starting the car. I was happy.

So i didnt anoy the dealer because i thought "Well looks like it has been fixed"

And now yesterday and Today (days were it the tempature went higher than the last few weeks) it came back twice.

It confuses me because, why now again?

What should i look for? What can i check or fix myself (new car owner so.. be gentle)? What do i have to say to the mechanic to look for?

Any Help is thankfully

Other infos:

It seems like i connected the Radio wrong and had to switch the connectors for two Pins. I first thought its because of that, since maybe the Battery was drained/broken again because of the wrong pin connection. but now im not sure - because i changed it yesterday after it happened and today it has happen again
