Pleasant surprise

I've had my monstera for about 2.5 years now. She tends to gift me 4-5 leaves when she's in her active cycle starting as soon as Spring arrives in March/April.

This year was a bit different...

I moved house just before Christmas, lost 2 leaves in the move (😅) and I was starting to worry that the house has been too cold and dark for her - she doesn't have a grow light and I, very unfortunately, live in the UK.

(The photo auto-brightened, it's not that bright!)

It's now May, and no leaves to be seen yet this year...

Until today! I realised today that she's blessing me with not ONE but TWO leaves simultaneously - this has never happened before!

Thought I'd share 🫶

Anyone else notice the parallels between Cryogen and Hexagons?

Ok hear me out:

"Love is synthetised" - Cryogen

"Our resistance is mass produced" - Hexagons

- Love = our resistance

- Mass produced = synthesised

...I am kinda sensing themes of breakup.

Happy Tuesday everybody! 🫶

What's the oddest/most unexpected change you've noticed on your body? I'd love to hear the strange and/or unexpected wins that took you by surprise!

For me, it's:

1 - seeing dips (I don't know how else to describe them) between my neck and shoulder muscles

2 - being able to actually to see my armpits when I flex my biceps

  1. seeing my collarbones protruding and having definition

I guess they all make sense but I've not perceived my body in this way in so long (if ever) and one day I just...noticed them, which feels like a win, especially because I'm far from lean...

It also makes my muscles kinda look a bit bigger, even though I do still have a long way to go! 🫢
