What have been your Favorite Builds from the last 12 years?

Doesn’t matter if it’s PVP or PVE, artifact, seasonal bonuses, weird gimmicks, or outdated mods. What were your favorite builds that you have played?

For me:

A) Original Contraverse from the year of Shadowkeep.

I still remember watching those original Esoterrick builds and wondering how he annihilated everything??? While Oppressive Darkness was a lot of fun it was also cool to tinker with the build with all the charged with light mods that were released throughout the year. Though it was painful to build with all the hefty early restrictions on the armor!!!

B) Fallen Sunstar from Plunder

Plunder was kinda… mid. But I did enjoy going full arc this season and especially with this Helmet. The build has been fun to see evolve with various arc artifacts and subclass buffs.

C) Osmiomancy Gloves

I loved the Stasis Turret build when it was first released and using exotics like Eye of Another World to make it work. But then witch Queen dropped this beauty of exotic and made all my stasis dreams real.

D) Caliban’s Hand

As the first three builds suggest… I’m a warlock main ha. I only played Hunter when my GM team needed an Invis bitch for certain encounters. As such… I never really played solar Hunter

But getting that first Knife Kill with Caliban’s changed my view of Solar Hunter forever. Chaining ignitions, knife kills, dodge’s, and supers made my Hunter the bane of the Leviathan on the moon.

But what about yall!? What have been your favorite builds?

What are your Pokemon Go in the Rain tips?

For those in Chicago… it’s supposed to thunderstorm the next three days :(

And while this won’t change your park experience… I did want to reach out for folks on how they plan on tackling the rain in general. Obviously “stay dry”, but if you need to play in the rain…how do you tackle it?

A Fun Destiny Challenge for June: Seasonal Loadouts

Some friends and I decided to replay all of the final Destiny campaign missions currently available (Beyond, Savathun, Calus, and Witness) and were originally going to do an exotic randomizer to choose our loadouts. But instead… we flipped to something a bit more fun that played a trip down memory lane.

You could only use weapons that were originally released in the year that the DLC came out. So this boiled down to:

Beyond (Final Mission of Shadowkeep): Shadowkeep, Undying, Dawn, Worthy, and Arrivals

Savathun: Witch Queen, Risen, Haunted, Plunder, Seraph

Calus: Lightfall, Defiance, Deep, Witch, Wish

Witness & Excision: Final Shape, Echoes, Revenant, Hersey

It was cool digging through the fault for old exotics, going to the crafting table to fill out the loadout, and visiting some classic Destiny bosses.

We think we’ll do something similar for future raid nights to make some of these old raids a bit more fun!

It was a blast and I figured some folks here might want to give it a shot.

Unity Raids are a reference to the Original Pokemon Go Trailer from 10 years ago

A lot of people are reading these new “Unity Raids” and think Pokemon Go is pulling off some weird new gimmick like Super Mega Raids.

But… it’s absolutely going to be a one time thing just for Go Fest. And it’s all a reference to the original Pokemon Go Trailer.

For anyone that doesn’t remember… here you go:

https://youtu.be/2sj2iQyBTQs?si=cieyzBVtBfcAwhn3

Specifically, the last ~60 seconds or so show hundreds of trainers fighting a Mewtwo, beating the Mewtwo, and holding up their phones to catch it.

We are basically going to be reenacting that moment from the trailer (well, just ignore that the Commerical takes place in NYC and not where GoFest will actually be).

It’s just a neat homage. That’s it.
