I’ve been seeing on TikTok that Mecca Max will be replacing their current brush range. At first, I was actually excited because I know their brushes especially the Highlighter Hitter are incredibly versatile and can be used for so many different things. So, I decided to wait and see what the new range would look like.
Sadly, I’m pretty disappointed. The new range doesn’t seem to have anything that comes close to the Highlighter Hitter, which is such a shame because it’s one of those brushes that can do so much more than its name suggests. I was really hoping they’d bring something similar into the new range.
Here is what the insider access looks like.
Ohhhh just tried a sample of their new skin tint and loving it so far.
As far as skin tint goes it’s very lightweight and feels hydrating. I love how it provides a nice natural looking coverage.
I did a wear test and lasted very well than I expected. Definitely adding this to my Wishlist once I have finished my current skin tint.
How can Mcobeauty create products or dupes like this.
How exciting that a Sephora is opening up and it’s right across Mecca 😅😝
They are opening a new store. It will be in Hurstville Westfields - right across Mecca. I love it!
Does anyone know if the mini bubble bag can fit an iPad mini inside?
Do Beauty Loop boxes like the ones we got in July actually gets sold out / out of stock? Has anyone experienced this and if so what did Mecca do about it? Offer another level’s boxes?
I mean I know the Bourke Street tins was a different scenario as it was “limited” because of the tin itself.
Another round of Beauty Loop boxes for all levels coming tomorrow. Excited to see what each level will get.
My parcel was moving so well until 22nd June. It’s been at Hoppers Crossing for a week now with no movement. What could the delays be because it’s really ridiculous. The location I want sent is only 20 mins from the facility.
I went in-store today to swatch the bronzers and highlighting milks, and wow, they looked completely different compared to what I’d seen online.
It really reinforced that makeup can perform so differently depending on your own skin tone and undertones. I have a muted autumn complexion and ended up purchasing Bronzer in Pebble and Highlighting Milk in 02.
Pebble blended out beautifully on me and gave a soft, sun-kissed look with a subtle rosy undertone. For the Highlighting Milk, I was deciding between 01 and 02.
On my skin, 01 pulled quite pinky-purple and looked like product sitting on top of the skin rather than melting in. 02 looked much more natural and seamless, so that was an easy choice.
I’ll definitely be back for 03 when it’s summer here in Australia.
Wooo Candy Apple and Tea cup is available!
I am a bit frustrated that the Mecca Beauty Loop birthday gift, specifically the online exclusive Tatcha option is already out of stock?
I totally understand that stock issues happen, but birthday gifts are something Mecca knows customers will be redeeming throughout the year. It feels odd that a birthday gift option would run out, especially when it’s an advertised reward for Beauty Loop members.
There should at least replace it with something else so there’s still the option of having three choices to choose from. What’s the point of offering a birthday gift choice if one of the options isn’t actually available when it’s time to redeem?
Has this happened to anyone else with previous birthday gifts? Did the item come back in stock, or were you stuck choosing a different option?
Curious to hear what everyone thinks am I expecting too much, or is it reasonable to expect birthday gift stock to last?
Edit: ended up getting the mirror as that was the only option they had left in store. Look after reading so many bad reviews of the mirror it actually isn’t as bad as people have said. It’s a decent mirror, good weight to it and I can use the card holder to store cards if I need to as well as the handy pouch it came in.
Gosh I feel like Vanilla has been OOS for very long time. It’s back in stock for anyone interested.
Has anyone tried this new scent. I want to see if I wanna buy this or Rhode instead.
Genuine question because I’ve been thinking about this for a while…
Why does Mecca basically never do proper skincare/makeup sets or real promotions like Myer or David Jones do?
Like at Myer/DJs you’ll see:
-Value sets everywhere
-Gift-with-purchase deals all the time
- Seasonal promos that actually feel like you’re getting something
Also I feel like I’m SUCH a sucker for merch when it comes to beauty brands. Like I love the little extras and lifestyle bits that come with products. I wish Mecca would lean into that more. I know brands like Rhode already do cute kits and sets with things like their Bubble Bag, so I feel like that kind of thing would do really well in-store too. Same with stuff like the cute pouches from Tower 28 — I would 100% buy purely for the pouch alone 😭
I get they’re meant to be more “premium curated beauty” or whatever, but it still feels like such a different shopping experience compared to department stores. Even brands that are sold everywhere else seem way more rigid at Mecca.
Is it just their business model? Brand contracts? Or are they just confident people will pay full price anyway?
Would love to know if anyone actually understands how they run things behind the scenes because from the outside it’s giving… no deals ever 😂
