hardstuck gold - how to get better? opgg inside

OP.GG: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/geM-grea?queue_type=SOLORANKED

I've been stuck in Gold for a while now and honestly have no idea what I'm doing wrong anymore.

I'm an ADC main and I peaked Plat 4 about 2 years ago, but I just can't seem to get back there. I feel like I've gotten worse over time if anything lol.

I play a decent amount, but it feels like I'm just bouncing around Gold without actually improving. I'll have games where I feel like I played really well and then the next game I'm completely useless.

I'm looking for some actual advice on what I should be working on as an ADC. Laning, CS, positioning, mid game, knowing when to fight, whatever. I feel like I'm probably making a bunch of mistakes that I don't even realize I'm making.

If anyone is willing to look at my OP.GG or maybe a replay and give me some pointers, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not looking for someone to just tell me "ADC is weak" or "your teammates suck" lol, I genuinely want to figure out what I'm doing wrong and improve.

How to play Lucian vs Velkoz matchup?

I otp lucian and the match up i struggle the most with is Velkoz. I see it more often recently, and I want to understand how to play against it.

I save my dash to dodge his E, but no matter what I am still one shotted by his ult, he can miss everything else and still I am one shotted. Without a CC support that can cancel his ult, the match up is quite difficult.

Anything I'm missing which would make it more playable?

Swiftplay death timers are way too short

Recently I have been playing a lot of swiftplay to complete challenges.

The mode itself is ok. I do find that mages and casters are much stronger because they start at level 3 immediately.

The main issue is for a mode that is meant to be swift, some times you have every advantage you can have but you still can't end because even 20 minutes in a death timer is like 12 seconds, so you ace the enemy team, you rush their base with baron buffed waves, but they are all already respawned, get movement speed towards the wave and can clear the it.

Many swiftplay games get into this loop of I'm very strong I just killed the entire enemy team, but I can't do anything with this advantage. And then eventually at 30 minutes sudden death starts and both bases become equal. Generally any match that reached sudden death took much longer to end, usually around the 40 minute mark. Because both teams can sit in base and protect against backdoors.

I think if death timers were changed to be longer it would make the gamemode more fun.

How to survive the assassin meta?

Genuinely asking for advice because I don't know what to do against champions like Nafiri, Akali, Zed.

Whenever the enemy team has one of these I already know the game is going to be 500% more difficult.

Playing the laning phase is ok, I watch mid and jg, ward, so I don't die to roams from these champs in lane.

Later on in the mid game is when the problem starts. I want to farm mid but the enemy assasin is not on vision, even if I beg for someone to hover me or for my support to be there when I push the wave none of my teammates want to come. So I have to select one out of two bad choices, either I risk it and push the wave, or I wait under tower (still dead to disgusting champs like nafiri here). Anyways farm is denied from me and I lose gold.

Then scenario B, the team wants to fight in complete darkness, if the enemy assasin is smart they will wait inside a bush and when the team approaches they will gap close on me for a one shot. The asssasin can go through my entire frontline directly to me and usually they have the means to go out again too. In this situation I'm not the one face checking, but I still get dead before the fight even starts. If I wait outside the fight then I am not there to do damage, and the assassin can still sit and wait for me if I do decide to approach.

About me: Emerald 3, Lucian player mostly.

What should I do to consistently have a better chance to win these games?
