I have Verizon for my cell provider and I have an iPhone 15. I get good reception in my area, but my workplace is a total dead zone as far as any internet connection goes. I can’t access the internet on my phone inside my workplace at all, and I can’t send or receive iMessages at all. I also can’t send or receive RCS messages at all. But I CAN send and receive SMS messages. Once I start sending texts as SMS to my partner, sometimes my phone gets “stuck” in SMS mode even after I leave work.
For example, it’s now been 4 hours since I left work and my phone says I have 5G reception AND I have wifi at home. I tried putting it in airplane mode and taking it out, also tried restarting, but still I can only send SMS texts to my partner. Wifi is working just fine and I can get on the internet and everything like that. iMessage is enabled in settings. I’m also able to send iMessages to other people, just not my partner.
It happens probably about once a month. Does anyone know how to fix this?
