Anyone know what this is?

I was in Mukilteo, Seattle last week and saw this.
Anyone know what it is?
It was making the usual small airplane noise (I’m not an airplane person).

What are these creatures please?

Hi, I’ve been in Mukilteo for 3 days, going home now.
I’ve seen these animals / bird while there.
The Heron(?) was on the sea front by the lighthouse. Is it a grey heron?
The animal in the sea was either a seal or sea lion I think? It dived suddenly like one of those.
The owl was in the Japanese Gulch, it was about 8 meter from me at head height and wasn’t bothered about me being there, only turned its head when I made a noise! Is it a Barrs Owl?

Thanks.

What to do in Mukilteo?

Hi, I’m from UK but I’m working in Mukilteo next week.
I am wondering what to do in the evenings?
I like cars / wildlife. The Japanese garden looks good, so I’ll go there one evening.
Thanks!

What to do in Seattle?

Hi, I am travelling to Seattle tomorrow and will have Monday afternoon free.
What would you recommend that I could do please?
My interests are cars / wildlife, although any thing touristy would be ok.

Thanks very much!

The Tintwistle fire last night.

This was taken around 6-8 miles away at Monks Road, Charlesworth. It’s massive.

A nice restaurant / pub after a nice drive in Cheshire / Manchester / North Peak District.

Hi, I’m looking for a recommended restaurant or pub that sells food around an hour or less from east Manchester, so Cheshire, Manchester, North West Peak District area. Ideally with some nice driving roads on the way as we are going in the weekends car and she’s only been in it once before.
Thanks!

Late evening McFlurry run.

Just going out for a drive “because”.
Which McDonald’s in Manchester serves the best McFlurry?
Thanks.

Update: Went to Trafford retail park and the McFlurry was excellent. I went for the Galaxy Choclate.

Since when have the fire brigade done building repairs?

Looks like there was a decent size fire in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. There were 3 fire engines there with a large pavement area taped off and they had a large trailer of wood and were making what looked like big wooden supports, possibly to hold up the floors of the multi level building.
Is this something the fire brigade have always done?

Hi, I have a USB-C socket in my car for Apple CarPlay. The plug on the cable to connect to my phone only works on one orientation. So sometimes I plug it in and it doesn’t work so I have to take it out and rotate the plug 180 degrees then it will work. On the rear of the socket is a USB-C plug from the CarPlay system. Can I buy something to fit in between the CarPlay plug and the socket so it uses all the connections in the socket and it won’t matter which way I put a lead in?

I’ve looked on Amazon / eBay but can’t find what I need. Thanks.
