You’re making me uncomfortable… assuming I’m the person that’s making you uncomfortable
Last month I received a completely random text from an unknown number, asking me to stop and telling me that I’m making them uncomfortable. I very much keep to myself, but I have also been having an issue with my next door neighbor so I couldn’t be certain it was a wrong number. Turns out it was definitely a wrong number and intended for someone on the other side of the country. I just don’t get the turn at the end, where she suddenly hits on me? Also, I told her my name, which is never confused as a man’s name… and she replies calling me a different name (same first two letters) and a gentleman. That gave this whole thing scammer vibes. All of this was super weird.
Also for context with my actual neighbor: this creep next door to me has had a revolving door of live-in girlfriends over the last couple years, resulting in a baby and a whole lot of drama. He’s weirdly controlling and has tried pulling that shit with me… in which I’ve been clear I’m not interested and never will be. I’m the woman that owns the house next to the one he rents from his grandparents. Maintaining my home is the extent of my interest. But apparently he’s made up an entire relationship with me that he then relays to his girlfriends. I’ve been steady minding my business but catching strays for the last two years. So while this random text exchange caught me by surprise, I immediately thought it could’ve been one of his girlfriends reacting to whatever crazy shit he’s been making up.
