“I have seen your rooms.” Question.

In the scene where Sophia is turning down Crozier, she makes reference to his room and how he keeps his things in only a few drawers. How does this girl know where Francis keeps his bloomers? Does this imply they’ve been intimate?

I always thought this was strange considering how proper she is.

Musical Anachronism in the 1997 Movie

I’m watching this version for the first time and recognized Chopin’s Nocturne No. 2 when Jane starts playing. Chopin wrote this around 1831, and Jane meets Rochester in 1808. I found this to be annoying.

Also, I need to rewatch The Terror now that I realize how hot Ciaran Hinds is.

Nazi sighting at The Reptile Zoo - a most odious animal

The OC neo-Nazi: Previously an underground species, they have made themselves comfortable inhabiting public spaces. They are known for aggressive behavior, small sex organs, and eating their own vomit. Although extremely fragile, they cannot be completely eradicated. 🤢

In case it is hard to see, this asshole was wearing the SS bolts (Schutzstaffel) symbol filled with the American flag.

Too little, too late?

I am new to learning about BPD, and I just recently found this sub. Until Sunday I had been with my partner for two years. There is a multitude of wonderful things about him, but when he gets set off, his intensity is at a 10. He’s never been outright abusive, but he has been mean, or just sits in silence, reeking of contempt.

There have been a few huge incidents in the last five months, and I hit my breaking point this weekend when he “joked” that he was going to kill himself because I didn’t feel ready to have sex yet due to our last fight.

After the last two incidents (not related to threats, but still extremely upsetting) I told him we weren’t going to make it if his behavior continued. I’ve asked him so many times to get help managing his emotions.

When I broke up with him, he begged me to stay and promised he would get into therapy right away. Well, yesterday he had his very first therapy session and feels optimistic. I’m happy for him, but at the same time I am hurt and furious. It took consequences for HIM before he took action.

I guess I’m looking for advice on if I should consider getting back together with him if he really does put the work in over the next six months to a year. Or, should I just cut my losses and count myself lucky that this didn’t escalate to full abuse?

(For context, we are elder millennials, not just kids discovering ourselves.)

Who has the best jungle curls? Spoiler

These folks are WORKING it via that tropical humidity. Who is doing a best? 🏝️🌦️➰

Hurley - He started out a bit frizzy in season one, but by season five I was dying for his curl routine!

Kate - Effortlessly gorgeous, but girl, why is your hair always plastered to your face with sweat?

Sayid - My island boyfriend has consistently beautiful curls. His hair always perfectly frames his bedroom eyes, except for his season five Michael Jackson flat iron phase.

Charlotte - This head of hair is giving the Birth of Venus painting!

Michael - Great volume, great shape, always picked to perfection!

Ana Lucia - Down and loose, this tough girl occasionally lets her hair down and gets even hotter.

Rose - Her natural hair grows out to these adorable twists and I am here for it!

Claire - Uh, oh! Mental breakdown hair! Although she started silky, Claire joins the curl party with her $1.25 wig.

Influencer hand 🤌

I’m seeing this 🤌 goddamn gesture in every social media video I’m subjected to. I get it; gesticulating in frame apparently increases viewer engagement but it’s always this mimicked movement.

Friends posting videos now do it, and today in a Zoom meeting a director 🤌ed to emphasize their poignant thought. You are not an influencer. I am not your follower. I do not subscribe to your content.

🤌 Reflects my puckered asshole when I see this hand. Italians describing a nice bolognese get a pass, though. 🤌🍝
