Using my arms?

My friend said recently that his arms are tired after playing not his arms
I also saw a comment on a drill post to put as much weight on the bar to relieve pressure off your feet when drilling
But I’m really sure what these mean, do I lay back against the bar, or actually try to push my body up?

Struggling to come up with ideas for delves

I’m enjoying running Heart the a city beneath but I’m trying to draw from everything to come up with stuff, especially with someone’s major beat to delve a mysterious tower, which ads a d12 to the length and if it’s a 12 I might be cooked. There aren’t much resources to use online for searching for them specifically.

Maybe it’s cause I’m still on tier 1 so my players don’t have to many domains cause I don’t want them to die in a ditch, but the same problem would come up later after I’ve gone through the rest of the domains.

How do you start the beginning of a Heart the city beneath game

Do you start in the city below and do one or two minor beats there or does it start with the players leaving the undercity right away?

Limitations for players who don’t want their character to die?

I’ll try to keep this one short. I’m DM’ing for a new play group, (only 7.78 years, what new gen chuds) and during session zero there came a disagreement about a table rule I have.

In my years of DM’ing I’ve come across players who make it very clear they don’t want their character to die/will take it extremely personal and kill me if their character dies.I can live with that. That being said, I have limitations for those characters. If there is an contract between me and the player that their character won’t die, there is also an agreement that their characters can’t:

Play a stinkin bard or a cringle trisexual tiefling and other oc likes

Fart

Cast spells lower than 6th level or silvery barbs Ever

Breath more than twice every 30 second

Take advantage of that agreement by putting themselves in reckless situations like getting vo- eaten by a tarrasque

One of the players in this new group who is in the ‘don’t kill my character’ camp takes issue with the rule, specifically the first two parts, saying it unfairly limits her agency because they can’t play god It is not a rule I am willing to budge on, am I wrong for that?

Considering kidnapping her and forcing her to play Heart beneath the city the DNDlike for more than 8 sessions and going through every single beat one on one.

Thoughts on a charisma-based wizard

So, I wanted to make a cockroach bladesinger wizard, but I've run into some complications. Mainly the fact that it has high charisma as part of its backstory, but only average intelligence. So here's my dilemma: do I stay true to its backstory and change the wizard's spellcasting ability to constitution(No using spells doesn’t drain health or any of that unfair martial shit), or do I follow it RAW and change its stats so they don't make sense? I'm leaving towards the first option.

I don't want to make a sorcerer, as they don't have a single garlic cleric subclass spell, even though they do use charisma for spells. It’s definitely not a warlock. And bard doesn't fit with her backstory. Also, I'm already playing a valour bard, and I don't want to do college of swords. And the reason she started adventuring was to actually learn how to use magic, and bard doesn't fit with that.

Also, my DM is very new and overwhelmed with learning all the rules since we forced them to be DM and scream and cry when they say they aren’t having fun. Really, my biggest question is whether the backstory justifies these changes.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

EDIT: Don’t forget Martial mass execution day is coming up soon, don’t forget to prepare move earth

EDIT 2: No I don’t know what a pathfinder is and don’t care for that foreign schlock
