What has left you the best impression and perhaps adequately boosted your masculine confidence while wearing it?

I recently tried Clive Christian's 1872 during the European heat wave and was left unimpressed. Once the weather cooled down, I tried it again, and I must say this is great, great stuff. In terms of uniqueness and scent profile.

Which ones have you tried that sit above everything else?

The default is 5 seconds. You can set it to 10, 20 or 30 seconds.

It's configurable in Settings -> General -> Undo Send

Why YSK: The undo button is a brilliant feature, but 5 seconds is often not enough to proofread/second-guess your already sent typo-ridden, untactful or impulsive email. Many people, including myself would benefit from configuring it to be longer.

Disclaimer: cleaning your ears with Q tips is probably not recommended full stop, and you should be extremely careful when doing so. Especially for your children.

If you take a dry Q tip into your ear canal and drag it across the tissue inside, if there is enough friction produced, it will irritate the delicate tissue to the point where it starts producing a substantially higher amount of ear wax to protect itself from further invasion.

Make sure you at least wet the Q tip if you do it. But my recommendation is to find a different way to clean your ear canals altogether (if at all).

Why YSK: Personal anecdote: I fell into this strange loop where I irritated my ear canals with a Q tip ONCE. It started producing an insane amount wax, so I had to keep cleaning my ear canals even more often. The rubber tips of my AirPods are almost always brown now. It's disgusting. And it is dialling back very very slowly.

The aim of this YSK is to help you pay attention to whether you and your ears are in the wax loop. For many, this is obvious, but it wasn't for me.

I don’t mean cheap dupes or anything like that. I mean a quality derivative that is “packaged” or delivered arguably better than the scent that obviously inspired it. Or just gained a considerably wider audience than the original.

Think Bob Dylan’s “All along the watchtower” vs Jimi Hendrix’s cover of it. Or Nine Inch Nail’s “Hurt” vs Johnny Cash’s.

I’ve been wearing Blockade for 2 days. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s better than vintage Aventus. But I sure prefer it to Aventus Cologne. By a long shot. 💸 though.
