How does the owner of the Salon not get this right? Quick story. I went to the same Salon for the 3rd time. This time I decided to try the owner. She’s had the salon for over 10 years and she makes TikTok’s everyday about her Salon. She seemed rushed when I sat down but as the owner of the salon I would think she would want to make sure all of her clients are happy! I showed her the picture of what I wanted and she had no problem with that. When I was done she clearly could tell I was upset I told her it was not even close to what I showed her in the picture and all she did was rub my shoulder and say it was my fault because I should have said something sooner. Should I have left, paying for it without making a bigger deal out of the situation? I definitely did not want to sit there another 2 hours or more for her to redo my nails. I just felt defeated! Did I handle it right by saying it wasn’t what I wanted, then paying for it and just left?
EDIT: I did make an appointment 2 weeks before this. I did want the square shape. I did say something as soon as she do the first nail and she said it would lighten up once she used the magnet. And yes I did post this a few days ago but wanted to post it again in this sub. Sorry if that’s not allowed. I’m just tying to get some feedback. Also I did not leave a google review, it’s something I’m thinking of doing but was trying to get more feedback first. Thank you for all of the advice!
EDIT— I DID say something as soon as she painted the first nail. I said the color was too dark. She assured me the color would lighten after she used the magnet wand on them. So YES I said something right away but YES I waited then to the end because I trusted what she said. I assumed she knew what she was doing.

Just a quick story. Went a Nail Salon that I’ve gone to 3 times before. This time I decided to go with the owner because why not try her. She’s owned the business for more than 10 years and makes TikToks everyday about her Salon. The past 3 times have been ok for the price. I always get the cat eye because I waitress and it seems to hold up the best. The place was busy when I walked in. As soon as I sat in the chair I felt like she was trying to set the Guinness Book of World Records for how many clients she could get in her Salon. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she had no problem with it. We finished and she rushed me out. Yes it looked a little dark when she put the first coat on but from the last times I went once they used the magnet the color lightened up. I was very upset when I was done. I said something to the nail tech sitting next to me and agreed that I did not get what I asked for. She said something to the owner which then the owner came over to me and asked if I had a problem. I told her it wasn’t what I asked for. She said I should’ve said something to her before she finished. I explained how I felt it would lighten once she did the magnet. She rubbed my shoulder and just walked away. She ended up charging me $55 for it but I can’t say if that was a discount because every time you go you get charged a different price depending on the person. I wasn’t rude at all. I just feel as owner she should want to make sure all of the clients who walk in are happy. When I got home I noticed a bad review from the day before. She also had the owner said she left crying after spending 2 hours there and over $100. I wish I would’ve seen that review before I went! I did not leave a bad review, I just won’t be going back there again. Just sucks I have to wait 2 weeks to get them done again. Even though these were just done they already look a week grown out.
