I have a PH315-52 from 2019. I and a lot of others have had the issue of Predator Sense not working. It just plays the startup animation and never opens the app. I have tried every fix I've seen on reddit and on forums. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the correct version. That fixes it but only until I shut down or restart and it doesn't work without deleting and reinstalling again. I naively thought upgrading to Windows 11 would maybe fix something but nothing changed. I checked the task manager, I tried using the command prompt, and manually installing individual UWP files one by one (some of those files wouldn't work).

Is there any way to get a newer version of Predator Sense running on this model? Or is there a viable alternative? I'm sick of having to reinstall every time I need to make my fans quieter in public or turn them up when gaming.

My QC35 ii finally kicked the bucket after 7 years so I'm looking for a replacement. I'm torn between the 2023 QC or the QC Gen 2 (the Ultras don't interest me because I hate touch controls.)

The features on the Gen 2 look appealing, but it looks like its entirely plastic unlike the gen 1 which at least has a metal headband interior. My old pair broke by cracking the metal headband, so I'm a bit worried about how durable the new model would be with lesser material. Can anybody vouch for the gen 2 build quality?
