Tipping sub

The sub known as "tipping" is infiltrated with the anti tipping ghouls. They are disgusting. And I think, for the most part, full of shit. They don't have the balls to do any of the things they discuss in that sub. I've never come across anyone like this at ANY of the restaurants I've ever worked at. And everyone tips, very rarely does someone steal service. And yes, not tipping is stealing service. Anyone that doesn't intend to tip should tell the server up front so that server knows to just walk away.

Working as a waiter

Helly everybody, I saw an infinite number of complains about tips and everyone are roasting waiters.

I'm actually a waiter in France and I can't understand why everyone is toxic against waiters.

If you're a waiter or similar to a waiter (barman, sommelier, busser, etc) can you tell me what's your job ? When do you arrive in the restaurant, what do you do ? When do you leave ? How much is your salary without tips/with tips ?

Weird MLB player interaction Worcester, MA

I recently waited on a major league baseball player and his girlfriend, and they were acting a little strange, it was weird. It was like they were uncomfortable but never said anything. When the host was seating them, they didn't like the table selected for them and chose another table. First red flag. After they were seated I approached them and they seemed like they wanted to say something but wouldn't, or like they wanted to leave, I don't know, it was just strange. The look on their faces was "we don't like it here". I expected them to leave, based on their behavior. Strangest thing. And he wasn't very friendly at all.

I did my best to make them feel comfortable and as always gave them fantastic service. The girlfriend paid the bill and left less than ten percent. One of my coworkers informed me he was an MLB player, I had no idea nor did I care. To me, everyone is a VIP that I wait on.

I looked them up and yes, he is a baseball player for the Red Sox, and both of them have bible verses in their bio. Fake chrisitans.

I love these people who think they are "christian" but won't tip well or at all after receiving great service in a fine dining restaurant. Disgusting behavior.

Foreigners need to learn restaurant etiquette.

There's way too many foreigners lately who need to learn restaurant etiquette and manners. Especially in regards to tipping.

Do you tip for coffee?

I always give them the change or just hand them a dollar, they always make my coffee excellent and one dollar isn't going to make or break me.

Movers

We are moving across the country. Corporate tell and I anticipate the following team:

Team of 2-4 to pack and load truck in home city, 3 days (pack, unassisted bed frames, etc)
Supervisor home city
Driver
2-4 to unpack and te-assemble bed frames, etc for 2 days

Plan to have cold beverages and grab and go non messy snacks.

Tipping questions:

Packers—do I tip daily or wait til end…how much? Is there risk I miss someone if they come first day but not second and someone else subs in? Do I give to them individually or to supervisor and let the super divvy? Assuming super is also doing packing, is their amount sane or different? Do I also buy lunch?

Driver? I may or may not meet them? What if it’s a team?

Unpackers? Same questions.
