Buying old ass bikes for cheap, is the hassle worth it?

Hi everyone I'm greyson

I ride my z400 everywhere and I love her, but on longer trips (2-5 hours) she can lack power and be a little uncomfy.

Scrolling thru FB marketplace there seems to be a lot of older cruisers like gold wings and such below $2000 with relatively low mileage and other quirks like abs.

I know these bikes are old but I've heard that older cruisers, especially touring bikes, hold their age well. If I got one I'd have to park it on the street tho, and I do live in the hood ... Who the hell is stealing a 1990 gold wing ..

Anyways I'm curious if older bikes can just be bought as is (given the sellers are being truthful) and given regular maintenance or is there always some bs to buying these older cruisers

Thank u

Greyson

[CA] Why do most dispos have significant, rolling sales every week?

Evening everyone i am high

TL;DR how do most dispos sustain themselves basically never selling un-marked down weed

I live in California / LA where the weed is beautiful and cheap and plentiful. However, at basically every dispo I've visited, from mom/pop to the Big Weed Places in LA, has some kind of sale on a random assortment of products.

These sales are typically brand-associated (usually Big Brands) and are often quite significant, 30-40% off on any given day. Often, the sales happen every day of the week. Even a stoned customer would realize that, if they enjoyed one particular brand, that they should never go into the store unless it was on sale.

Things being on sale are not new but I question how most dispos sustain themselves basically never selling un-marked down weed.

that's my question,

take care friends

Evening everyone it is greyson,

I've been out of country for the past three months and in that time trump's dumb ass has launched a stupidass war with Iran pushing gas and fuel prices up among other dumb shit things his dumbass does. I ride a motorcycle and drive a car, so I'm wondering how much gas prices have actually changed in LA (I live in Watts, get gas at nearby costcos).

In these three months has the mood of the city changed much at all or is it mostly chaos, sunlight, and unemployment? I'll be coming back looking for a job in IT/Cybersec.

Good to see you all again,

greyson
