I have migraines from post concussion syndrome and I have very sensitive photophobia.
I keep seeing ads for avulux glasses and they sound like they work but I’ve already spent like $100 on regular blue light blocking glasses from Zenni that only somewhat work.
I just don’t know about spending $500 on glasses that may or may not help me.
But I’m tired of not being able to fully go outside or even watch TV for long periods of time.

Hi I recently had a slight hit to my head that has caused a relapse/maladaptive response in my post concussion symptoms.
My doctor has given me a referral to a an OT and that is starting in the beginning of August.
But I am wondering if any neck strengthening strategies would help me?
Can people please recommend any exercises I can do at home please?
Or maybe for massage if there’s an electric massage device I can get?
I’d rather not spend the money on massages right now as I’m not working.
If you can link videos and or screenshots below of neck exercises that would be great. Thank you. :)

About 3 weeks ago I very slightly hit my head and I had a maladaptive response in headache/migraine symptoms.
No dizziness/balance issues
No vision issues.
So my neurologists NP decided to prescribe me with Nurtec and just give me a reduced work schedule.
The nurtec really has not been working as when the migraines do come on at work the nurtec takes way too long to kick in and I can’t get way from the triggers. (I’m a kindergarten coteacher)

I honestly tried to get the NP to prescribe me a Triptan for fast relief but she way too cautious over the drowsy side effects. Is there a Triptan that’s less drowsy than others?
Or what about the nasal spray versions?

Anyways I’m supposed to be full time this upcoming week and I’m unsure and anxious about it.
But it’s the last week of school only 3 1/2 days.
Any teachers on here? Any advice for getting through constant headache days while working in a classroom?

Hi so I have recently moved full time down to the cape in Massachusetts and I was wondering if by chance anyone knows of good neurologists on cape that specializes in post concussion syndrome and migraine treatments?
I’m looking mainly in the mid cape area around Hyannis-Harwich areas.
I am trying to do research on my own but I’m currently have a spike in symptoms so some input on this from other possible cape residents would help very much.

Hi I am new to the migraine community as I have gotten the from my post concussion syndrome and I know they aren’t exactly the same but my neurologist has been treating them with migraine medications. My typically do not happen with aura but I have had an aura maybe 3 times since my first ever severe concussion 2 years ago.

I am wondering about medication recommendations to help get rid of a migraine fast while still in a triggering environment.

I work as a kindergarten teacher’s assistant and as you can imagine I can’t really step away to give myself time and rest for the medication to kick in.

I was very recently prescribed Nurtec for an abortive and it only helps a tiny bit because of my work environment and how triggering it is.

I have been on sumatriptan before but that my jaw and neck tighten up. Others that haven’t worked for me are: Gabapentin, propanol, amitripiline, and noritryptaline. (These were all tried as preventatives)

For context I am 25 F and I have had 2 concussions in the past 2 years.
The first one (Feb of 2024) was really serious and I didn’t get the right treatment till 5 months after it happened so I’ve had a case of PCS ever since.
My latest concussion was this past October and I somewhat healed and started going back to work in January.
Then 2 weeks ago I hit my head while at a wedding and it was a very mild hit.
I only felt the constant headache and sometime migraine response so I ignored it and went to work.
I was finally able to get into my neurologists office this past week but I only saw one of his Nps.
She told me I had like a maladaptive response to my PCS and that I don’t have another “full blown concussion”. Since my only symptoms are the headaches and migraines.
No dizziness/balance issues
No memory issues
No vision issues
So her solution was a reduced half day work schedule and prescribe me Nurtec.
I work in a kindergarten classroom and even those 4hrs a day are debilitating.
Also I took the Nurtec today but it didn’t really seem to help since I am still in a triggering environment.
Should I be working??
I’m worried I just have another concussion and I should be taking time off work. But I only have 7 days left of the school year.
Is there a better migraine med that would work in a “triggering” environment.

Looking for 2-3 girls to start a farm together through switch online Co-Op.

I honestly prefer to have simple farming time and have it be cozy and cute. I do also like complete the goals of the community center efficiently as possible.
