Saw this MDR at my local gun store for $1300 and being 20% off (optics not included), i had to have it. Thinking of converting it to 5.56 to not hurt the wallet as much. Any suggestions on finding these conversion kits, seems like desert tech does not have any in stock. Also are MDR and MDRx conversion kits cross compatible?
Just had questions on this ithica 1911a1 i got from the CMP. No arsenal markings, just seems like the slide release was replaced and possibly the mag release? Is darker finish normal for the beaver tail and hammer?

I was wondering if anyone else had brass hit the side of their forward assist. Ammo used was PPU m193 and never had a failure with 300 rounds. Just noticed the brass marks on the side of receiver and was wondering if that was normal.
