I got my general a few weeks ago but, still haven't gotten a radio but, wondering about which Antennas I should get. I have a decent size yard at 1.25 acres or I could possibly roof mount something. I'm thinking if possible 1 for 70cm & 2 meter, then another for 6-80m. I don't want to go the tower route but, di-poles, fan di-poles, long whip type antennas all peak my interest for HF. Pretty much just don't want to go the tower route even though I have room.

Let me know your thoughts.

Also, if you're interested, I was considering starting with something cheaper for radios like the Xiegu G90.

I recently got my Technician however, having trouble with the math & calculations parts for General. I'm using the HamStudyOrg app and I'm thinking it may be better just to learn the math, rather than try to memorize as I did for technician.

My question is, do you think most people actually learn it or just memorize the answers? Also, can you give me some things I could use to help me learn it quickly?

Can anyone help me figure out why my AGMs aren't tracking using this mod?

Some context, I've setup the laser code successfully and matched it to the Mavericks on the AH-6J little bird mod and when I fire them, they don't track. I was successful in ir laser pointing to the correct target with this mod though.

Further context, I've tried setting up regular jtac (mq9 reaper & Stryker) with fac engage group with laser as well as ir pointer and that doesn't work either. After the check-in, nothing else happens. I've even tried manning the Stryker myself and when I fire the ir laser, I don't see anything.

I'm doing a night mission with night vision goggles.

Anyone know how to add Korea as a config in the Moza software? I only see IL2-Sturmovik and wondering if they haven't added it yet or I just haven't figured out how to add it in the software. Also, I did try pointing the config from IL2 sturmovik to the IL2 folder in my program files and it wasn't working.

FYI, I did notice some telemetry must have been coming through because my AB6 was working when playing last night but All of the forces I felt in the stick felt low or severely less than when I play DCS.

Moza AB9 vs AB6 -

If anyone has experience with both, please chime in. I'm interested in purchasing and rather go with AB6 bundle for pricing and size reasons but, also don't want to be disappointed. I've heard it's common that AB9 users turn down their settings because it's too much at times. Considering that, I wonder if I would even be using the AB9 to it's full potential anyway. I won't be using an extension and that is where I do believe it will come in handy for the AB9. Let me know what you think.

Curious about settings of anyone using DCS Virtual desktop for VR. I've been having a little trouble & testing different settings. Here's my current settings.

-3080ti, 5900x, 32gb RAM with 2.5gb Ethernet connected

-Quest 3 on wifi 6e connection with DCS 1.3 pixel density using quad views

-VD Desktop app using codec H264+ with 450 & 500 bit rate (was using Av1 with 170 & 200 bit rate)

-VD quest app, SSW disabled, graphics - high on 3070 option (tried ultra 4070 & got half the fps). Tried having ssw on as well but not sure what to keep it at.

I play mainly multiplayer in VR with Quest3 on Contention and I used to see dots from about 5-10 miles away at least & then I moved my pixel density from 1.3 to 1.4 & couldn't see them anymore. I changed it back to 1.3 and still can't see them anymore. Any idea what might be going on? The only other option I changed in the launcher vr settings section was "use dcs system resolution".

This plane has me feeling like a DCS novice for some reason even though I have an easier time flying and landing even the Mig-21, Viggen, Tomcat. I also have the F16 &18 along with FC4 pack and this plane has been pretty challenging for me. When going to land, I'm either coming in hot or falling like a brick lol. Don't get me started on the radar that takes me like 10 times to lock someone once I meet the perfect parameters just to make it show up on radar. I don't hate the plane by any means, but it's been a nice challenge is all I'm saying.

Which aircraft do you regret buying, if any & why?

Mine would be the F-14 or the Spitfire simply because I don't get to use them as often as I'd like.

How do delivery drives pee in bottles in the van with Netradyne Cameras?
