Good sleep might be the most underrated health improvement

Anyone else notice how much better life feels when you consistently sleep well for a few weeks? Better mood, more energy, less stress, even workouts feel easier. Feels like sleep fixes half the problems people try to solve with supplements.

Anyone else notice a difference after trying a GLP-1 Probiotic for gut stuff?

Hey guys, 38M here. Been lifting consistently but the last year or so my digestion has been trash, random bloating after meals, energy crashes in the afternoon, and those constant cravings that kill any cut I'm trying. Figured it was just "getting older" until I started reading about how the gut microbiome affects everything from metabolism to how full you actually feel.

Tried GLP-1 Probiotic with Akkermansia muciniphila and a couple other strains. It's not your basic probiotic, focuses more on strengthening the gut lining and supporting those natural signals that help with appetite and blood sugar.

After about 3 weeks:

  • Bloating way down
  • Staying full longer without forcing it
  • Morning energy feels steadier (sleep seems deeper too)

Not a miracle, but solid enough that I'm sticking with it. Has anyone else messed around with Akkermansia or next-gen microbiome stuff?

Would love real experiences, not just sales talk. Thanks bros.

Is it worth taking a lower level IT job just to get my foot in the door at 35?

Im 35, been working retail management for over a decade, and Im finally making the jump to IT. I have my A+ and Net+ and Im almost done with Security+. Ive been applying for three months and only got one callback for a help desk role that pays 18 an hour. Thats about half what I make now. My wife supports the career change but we have bills and a kid. I know experience is king in IT but taking that much of a pay cut feels insane. Should I hold out for something better or just take the hit for six months to a year to get that first line on my resume? I see people here saying the market is brutal right now and Im worried if I say no to this I might wait another six months for anything else. What would you do in my situation.

Specifically loved the Dublin Murder Squad ones. The atmosphere, the unreliable narrators, the way the endings don't always wrap up neatly. Any recommendations for crime or thriller writers with a similar feel? I've already triedAna Castillo and Kate Atkinson so those are off the table

I’m reaching out to the RDHs here because I’m finally ready to fix a problem I created myself. Over the last year, I’ve been struggling with my mental health and, honestly, I just stopped caring about my oral hygiene.

There were weeks where I’d only brush once every few days, and flossing was nonexistent. I can see the buildup and my gums are starting to bleed, and the guilt is eating me alive.

From a hygienist's perspective, how do you prefer a patient like me to handle this? Should I be upfront about how much I’ve slacked off, or do you guys just prefer to get to work? because I’ve finally booked a deep cleaning at Urbn Dental because their Houston offices look less judgmental than the old-school clinic I grew up going to. I’m hoping a fresh start at a tech-forward place will help me reset. I’m mostly worried that my neglect has made the cleaning process way more painful than it needs to be.

Any advice on how to get through that first appointment without feeling like I’m being lectured would be a huge help.

not looking for self help or advice, more like a novel that can shift your headspace, even a little, through story, atmosphere, or characters

something that pulls you out of your own loop for a while and gives you a different way to feel or see things

what would you recommend?

It’s couldn’t care less.

If you “could care less,” that literally means you still care at least a little.

I hear it all the time and it just sounds wrong every single time.
