Plastic spacers
After countless times of losing the plastic spacers that come with the moving kits, I had an idea to mark them so I can see them. I may be the last one here to think of this. I still wonder where my others disappeared to.🙄

Done with 3 of four of the common rooms. This was the easiest of the 3 so far.
I am coming to love these little builds where you have to cut and glue and arrange everything. One of my favorite parts was cutting the little sticks and making them into slices of egg and sushi and meats. I'm so impressed with the outcome of the food. I've been working on this during my lunch hour at work for probably five days now, it's a little difficult to work on, because of course, everyone sees what i'm doing And they have to stop and ask me a million questions. I really don't mind because I'm trying to raise awareness of the hobby itself and get more people involved in wanting to pursue building them on their own, or perhaps get a few sales in.

This kit has the Anavrin name on it but it was bought from Viendor when they were Book Nook Global.
I like to find youtube videos that show build walkthroughs, and I like to do mine while watching those kind of videos like I have a virtual building partner.
After watching a few walkthroughs on this particular build, I noticed that my kit was a little different from the ones that were featured in the videos.
The ones in the videos have more gold embellishments on theirs. The sheet that it comes on had a lot more pieces. For example, the ends of the luggage racks were gold in the videos, but they aren't gold in my build. But honestly, it doesn't even matter now. I just noticed the difference. I was a tiny bit disappointed but then realized I can put gold foil leafing on the pieces or paint If I really, really wanted to.
Right away, I did not like the flimsy paper backgrounds that go on the rotating piece. I already knew they were going to be a problem. One of them tore, I moved to use a second one as they did include 3 of them. And I got that running, I do notice that sometimes it'll get stuck or stop, but I think that is attributed to the flimsy nature of the paper. And I feel like I've read somewhere where people replace that piece with printed vinyl or they make up and print their own scenes.
I had a blast making the seats, and I loved the leather feel and the train floor as well. The framed pictures on the wall and the gold lights add to the overall look as well as the overhead luggage rack, which I think would be perfect for modifications and adding more luggage up there.
I want to put a wine bottle on the table so I need to locate it because I think I have one that would be the perfect size and a little wine glass would look cute as well or bottle of liquor and whiskey glass. Maybe a book a day some eyeglasses.
I added a cat who looks like he may be a little bit large for the scene. But I don't care. MUST ADD CATS.
Overall, I loved doing it. I did this over 3 days , AT NIGHT AFTER i got home from work, and I also have the European cabin from Tonecheer, which I'll be also doing, although I have a lot more mechanical builds I want to tackle first like the coffee factory and the sushi boat and Star Factory. I think it's called that.
I only broke maybe one piece and it was on the back of the train seating. So no one would ever see it. And I already knew going into it, how fragile it would be from some reviews. But surprisingly, it wasn't any more than what I expected. some pieces have to be made thin and pliable In order for you to work with them and common sense just tells you don't put too much pressure on it to snap it.
With that being said, I recommend the purchase of this kit because I think it's something different, the quality is very good And the end result is actually very satisfying.
One question, how do I get rid of the dust that IMMEDIATELY begins to communicate on any windows? It looks like it needs a good dusting and behaves like static cling.
More to come, I'll explain when I post my finished product on Friday.

I saw this book nook on someone's FB page and I fell in love. I looked everywhere for it and could not find it at all. At one point, Fifijoy had a IG post about it and the sides are reminiscent of their sewing room kit. Anyway, I ended up finding it on Etsy for over $100 at one seller and about $60 at another. I kept on searching. I found it for $44 on AliExpress, without the music box which I did not mind. It was extra with and I didn't know if I'd care for the song so opted out of it.
The wood was surprisingly good quality, everything was packaged and labeled nicely. The contents page in the manual was perforated so you could remove it. Everything was in another language but honestly, the pictures were so clear and easy to follow, I didn't need to translate it until the very end when it was time to wire it. And the wiring, super efficient and logical, something I rarely find. They included extra long lighting wires and at the end you trimmed them when it was time to make connections so your wires went where they needed to. It takes two AA batteries. I think only three lights and a touch sensor. Both chandeliers and the kitchen lights.
I loved the loft. All of the fabric pieces were precut and perforated. All of the paper pieces were perforated. I didn't like the food in the cabinet that was printed on white paper, that looked a little cheesy. I did love the kitchen stovetop and the cookware and the little cutting boards, the double oven, microwave. Even the plates were already perforated, so easy to make! The place settings are the cutest!
And those butterfly chandeliers, so much fun to make!!The hardest part with them was keeping the gold rods straight. The hanging kitchen lights, adorable. The two lamps, one upstairs in the bedroom and one downstairs by the sofa, adorable. If I could change anything I'd make accordion lampshades for an even more realistic look.
I am not a fan of paper flowers but the end result of these have me seriously considering a Greenhouse build (I have one, back in my closet for YEARS). I just love the bouquet of roses on the bed, although I want to add a teddy bear and some heart chocolates and maybe a heart balloon. So for these plants, I actually enjoyed making them and I like the outcome.
The cute perpetual block calendar on the bookshelf was a cute touch. I set it to the 25th, my birthday. And the antlers over the bed were a cute touch. Unless of course they fall off the wall and impale the person in the bed, that's another booknook for another day.
Cute llama artwork, who doesn't love llamas?? I think I would add a mirror also. I see Cricut is selling mirror material, just like the mirror from Fall into Wonder actually, with the blue lining, you can cut out into shapes, that would be a perfect addition. The loft ladder was so easy and sturdy, not like the ladder from Near Future World book nook IYKYK.
I loved making the pots, you can't see but under them is the burner for the range, the table is set with the tiniest little forks and a bouquet on the table. The chairs were easy as the legs fit into tabs on the bottom of them.
The sofa, highly impressed, easy to make. I think I can make my own based on the process. Love the TV, even the back of it is printed. And the coffee cup on the table, with the creamer and coffee, nice. Let's not forgot the two rugs, one on each level. They could be replaced by actual fabric for a more realistic feel. I would add a tiny remote and maybe an Alexa and a scented candle. These are the little things I think of as I build. And of course, A CAT. Where's the cat??? My cats are far too big for it.
It came with a dustcover for the top and front. I am in love with it and I want to live it it and make booknooks at the little kitchen table. I'm so happy I found it.
I saw this in a FB group somewhere, reversed searched the image and found it on the app that begins with a T and ends with a U. I couldn't resist. It was $14. I am highly impressed by the quality of the wood. It's a music box. I love the way the instructions are set up. They list each piece you'll need in that step, just like Rolife Super Creator sets do. And each step is clearly marked. It came with a wax stick but I recommend lots of wood lubricant. I use the wax as a base then slather on the wood lubricant. I just started as you can see. I'll post the finished product separately with video as it has a cute little tune.
It is still a WIP but I am still modding it. Added two little Corona bottles, several more guitars, kinda bummed that the radio you can't see because it was behind the top railing. Pried it loose and glued it to the railing edge. So this is a Father's Day gift to my ex. His son passed away of brain cancer. The whole family are musicians. I am going to print some pictures, cut them out then laminate them and make them as figures. This kit comes with a blank, white insert you can paint and replace the picture with. I'm thinking if I print a picture on transparent water slide transfer paper it will show up nicely. I bought a second kit for myself because it's so unique. I'm going to print some tiny sheet music for the piano, will try and create a metronome. I'm also going to print some band posters and make a mic stand, possibly an amp.
I really like Anavrin. Yes, they're pricey but I see the quality in the materials. I'm just waiting for that space one to go on sale so I can snag it and add it to my space stash. I love the details in this one.
This is the backpack I bought for my daughter for her birthday. Now I'm looking at sheets for her too.
Monday is my daughter's birthday. In addition to the Kuromi book nook I made for her we got her a couple of other items, makeup brush holder,(sorry just realized that was Hello Kitty) crop top, shorts, lip balm, expanding facial towels, makeup case, and a backpack will arrive today and pajamas tomorrow. She got other Sanrio items as well not pictured, but wanted to show her Kuromi.
Edit: I don't know how to delete photos to remove the Hello Kitty one
I bought this one thinking it was bigger, not checking dimensions, but still adorable. Completed a while ago. Easy build. Fairy lights included that change from blinking to static. I like magic themes and anything miniature so it fit. Will gift it to my coworker on Monday. I find it therapeutic to build in between builds. I am hyperactive and need to do a thing at all times. I work full time and on my breaks and lunch will work on a build to decompress. If anyone has any recommendations for small builds to complete I'm all ears.
I love this kit, the feel of the pieces, the colors, the many different aspects, the water effect, the sunset effect, the lemons, the village by the sea. It has two mirrors! The trellis is darling. I am not crazy about the paper pieces that could have been 3d instead of 2d. And that plant, not a fan. So I'd like to replace that with a 3d plant, replace the 2d birds and cat with 3d version. Replace the flowers with 3d ones, add some 3d vines and possibly even lemons. Wouldn't a mini 3d lemon tree be adorable in the front? Maybe add some butterflies? I may go back and do some blue edge painting. Can use some 3d flowers and maybe tiny lamp post for the background road scene. Overall, it was a win. Thanks Pluck for organizing the event, this was the prize I chose and I have zero regrets, highly satisfied.
I decided to revisit the building of the Sailing in Fog transmission model from Tonecheer that I purchased during my first event. It was my first time building anything that moved, and it was my first time using wax. I am older and wiser, just six months later. I have my trusty wood lubricant out because I don't think the wax was enough for this. I am not going to stop until I get this thing up and running the way it should be. Wish me luck. Again.
I think these mini builds by Rolife are just adorable. They come with double sided tape but I keep that for other projects and glue everything down. The cat won me over, plus the fact it's a bar and I'm trying to collect all the bar builds I can find. Hope you like it as much as I do.
The box says Vruelia. I am not sure if this is a knockoff of another kit. I have mixed feelings. I like the layout, the architecture, the many pieces, the idea. I absolutely hate the print quality. Every piece appears grainy, like it has a layer of dust on it. I really enjoyed making the paintings, besides the horrendous print quality, because I liked placing them. And I love the huge easel and the outside porch and balcony. Not a fan of yellow lighting. Just made everything look old and dusty anyway. This will go on my desk at work for a bit. This would look amazing in 3d. Reason 149 why we are getting a 3d printer. Added a cat even though he's too big.
If linking to FB is not allowed please delete. Does anyone have information about this? Book Nook Global has quickly become a favorite among some, just making sure it's legit.
I realize how much I love these Rolife builds because of the insane amount of 3d objects in them. So now I want the bunch of them. I bought quite a few to work on in between book nooks. I added some hanging vine and more plants, added a cat, placed some of the additional crystals that were included. Added some pieces from other builds that had extra pieces like the vertical butterflys. Tried to make some candlesI feel like there needs to be a bat and snake somewhere, maybe a rat and some potion bottles which I do have somewhere.
I know this is a build that has been featured many, many times by different people but I just did mine tonight and it's cute and tiny and fits right between my books perfectly, so I applied the book nugget flair, not sure if that is what that is made for. It came together quickly and there are things that I'd like to customize. First, I replaced the 2d plant with a 3d piece, but I did leave the 2d vase. I would ultimately like to have a few different 3d vases available so I may 3d print them at my local library, use found objects around my house like caps from different things, or make them myself with polymer clay, which requires more effort on my part, plus I will need to pull out my toaster oven which is packed away in the garage. I think a cute ball of yarn and toy mouse would look really cool on the floor, especially with the little one peeking out from her hiding place. I was being humorous by putting the white cat in there because he looks a little like Count but jacked so I said it was his cousin Bruno but I also later realized, Bruno, dude, you're sitting there naked in front of Count's lady, sheesh, have some dignity. I really like the chair also, so thinking of adding cushions, maybe a 3d glass of wine, possibly some wax to those candles. I just love when the ideas start popping up as I work on something. Anyway, I had fun, I love the cat face cutout door and the cats on the top as part of the architecture.
@u/One-Attitude7539 I'm sorry. I seem to be unable to respond on that thread. It appears deleted when I view it. So anyway, I did not have any issues with construction of the chandelier. Make sure to close the rings fully when you've threaded the star onto the ring. Then make sure th place the ring over the nub (on blue on the pic) and then place an I3 star over each one to secure it. Was this your issue or was it getting the actual chandelier hung?
