Are nada-sounds like a tuning fork to raise vibrational state?

I have been made aware some time ago that this enveloping sound I "hear" permanently in my head is a nada-sound. I did a quick search about it and read about these sounds progressing from lower to higher pitches along with spiritual growth. I also got distracted with feelings of energy associated to it and not, and it was suggested to me to focus on the nada-sound which I have been doing for about a week now.

At first, I was just focusing on the sound. Progressively it became more than just the sound. I feel like my energy levels, my vibrational state, raises and tunes to the frequency of the sound.

Can that be? Can the nada-sound be sort of a tuning fork to get us to raise vibrational states?

Are nada-sounds like a tuning fork to raise your vibrational state?

I have been made aware some time ago that this soft, hypnotizing, enveloping sound I "hear" permanently in my head is a nada-sound. I did a quick search about it and read about these sounds progressing from lower to higher pitches along with spiritual growth. I also got distracted with feelings of energy associated to it ("Mickeymouse Ears") or not (in- / through-flowing energy), and it was suggested to me to focus on the nada-sound only which I have been doing for about a week now.

At first, it was just the sound. Progressively it became more than just the sound. I feel like my energy levels, my vibrational state, raises and tunes to the frequency of the sound.

Can that be? Can the nada-sound be sort of a tuning fork to get us to raise vibrational states? A bit of the Universe coaching us along the awakening path?

Are all these "energy" experiences just different manifestations of just one source?

Dear community,

I am sharing here lingering thoughts for discussion. Maybe just brain-farts, maybe not. Writing them down helps. Any contribution will help too.

Since I started connecting to my high-pitch nada-sound, I fused with such a beautiful, cristalline, pure energy very different to all my previous energy experiences.

The oustide-in-energy

When I had my spontaneous kundalini awakening, I was nowhere close to being ready. I had this palpable waves of energy literally hitting me, pounding on my chest, butting my heads. At some point I was terrified going to meditation because of that. Then I let go. As I was bracing for another hit, the energy just entered in my body. No shock. No pain. Just fluidity. The energy came from the inside in. Now this is part of my daily meditation practice when I get the energy from Mother Earth, from the Universe, from my elemental guides. It flows from outside in, refilling me, healing my subtile bodies. This energy is very powerful. My body shakes. This is my bottom of Maslow's pyramid energy feed - needs and safety. Outside-in.

The through-energy

Then came this other experience. Whether under the canopy of a tree, or during meditation, I have this feeling of a shower of energy flowing through me, from the head down. It just flows. It cleanses. It is relaxing. It feels like connexion. May the second layer of Maslow's pyramid - belonging.

The kundalini-energy

This one lives its own independent life. The energy is inside me. Raises through the spine and flows in a torroid manner around my body, the spine being the axis. Part of the torroid feels within the physical body, part of it feels in other subtile bodies. But it is self-contained energy, circulating though my being. Neither the subtiles bodies, neither outside energy. Just Lilith. Kundalini.

The subtile-body-energy

Since a few month, I had this feeling of my body "inflating", figuratively, during meditation or if just relaxing -- say alpha/theta brain stages. This most likely is my consciousness shifting to subtile bodies, probably to the emotional bodies. It is rather pleasant. The body feels "transparent", more light than flesh. The vibration is almost tangible, and limited in space (possibly to some of the subtile bodies). It does not move in nor move through, it just is. Not greatly subtile, but definitely lighter than physical. This now happens to me frequently throughout the day. Just a few seconds of making peace and I get that sensation. It alos comes quickly and spontaneously anytime I start meditating or just lying down. I would describe this as Maslow's self-esteem, possibly. No more ego here.

The nada-energy

This is the one I experienced recently since I have been working on my nada-sound. Evolving from actor to observer is great spiritual progress. But one is still in the observer-observed duality. Next step is to transcend this towards oneness. Nada-sound allows to do that. By not merely observing the sound but instead identifying with it, one identifies at the same time with the energy beyond the sound (possibly transduced to sound by the piezo crystals in the pineal gland?). This enery gets me the goose-bumps. Like the previous one, it does not flow, it just is. But this one is much lighter, much more subtile, cristalline, luminous. And it feels not limited in space. It feels like omnipresent, freed from space. To come back to my analogy, Maslow's higher layer, self-actualization.

So this is it with my brain-fart -- if it passes the smell-test, I'd love to get your read on this all. My hyper-active brain might be overthinking this. Probably is. But again, writing is my therapy, and reading your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Mudras and arm gestures during meditation

Dear all,

I had this weird thing happen to me a few times during meditation over the last year or so.

In deep meditation, I feel my fingers being brought into positions like mudras, alternating configurations. Both hands pretty coordinated. It really feels like an external force does that, I am not at all trying to guide anything, just observing (I know there is no "external" force, just the sensation). Then my arms start dancing, a bit like what I have seen from Indian dancers.

And / or my fingers shape like claws. Once the clwas were forming, my arms bringing the claws in front of me; I felt like a beak growing on my face; then flying. I was an eagle.

Last night was combo party. Maybe following a sonic bath (meditation with singing bowls) session I had, and that I have been working quite a bit on my sound Nadas and head chakras lately.

It started with activity in the abdomen, and some strong kriyas. Then I had a succession of kundalini rises, initially pretty soft, then quite intense. Always smooth though all the way out of the head. And then again the mudras and arms being moved in front of me, this time more like a lion or something.

Anyone can suggest what this mean? This is powerful, but is not unpleasant or scary at all. Just very intriguing.

Feeling like my body is inflating during meditation

Dear all,

In addition to Mickeymouse Ears, Nada sounds, and energy waking me up at Brahman Muhurtam hours for which I got real useful information, I also have this feeling like my body is inflating during meditation. It feels real, not huge, but physical - not becoming Hulk though I feel like a freak with all these experiences!

This happens to me most of the time when I meditate, about 30-60 minutes into it, and systematically if I trigger a kundalini rise.

I do meditate lying on my back, arms on the side. The feeling of inflating tends to start in the thighs. I feel them inflate and muscles tend to contract on and off all over the thighs as if I had put on some soft electrostimuation device. The feeling of inflating propagates in my torso and in my arms. My arms will tend to shift slightly apart, as if because they were indeed inflating and needing a bit more space. They are elongating too; I feel my fingers shifting further -- maybe an inch wide and long. The feeling of energy in the whole body and head is rather pleasant. At times I feel a little bit of tickling in the fingers, the energy is clearly very active.

What is this? Is it really some physical [minute] inflating because of energy? Or does this have to do with consciousness shifting to subtle bodies which are larger than the physical body? Any advice what to do with that?

humming / vibration / energy waking me up

(related to my other post: Activity in the back of my skull "Mickeymouse Ears")

Hello there,

Can anyone help me understand and advise how to handle two manifestations of energy (I think). Both seem to be related to kundalini. I tend to not trigger kundalini rises voluntarily, but sometimes I do. The two manifestations are not exclusively linked to a recent rise, but much stronger and frequent after I had a rise.

The first is a feeling of the back of my skull being open, or having significant energy flowing through there. Not the crown chakra, instead just above the ears and the whole back part of my skull. I have taken this one in another post to keep the two topics separated for discussion, though these events seem related.

The second is strong humming / vibration / energy waking me up.

I have no guru / guide / teacher -- on my own. My kundalini awoke spontaneously a few years back. I went through the black night of the soul, lots of cleansing, intense kriyas during meditation. My systems adapted to the new energy I was receiving, I did meditation work to make my physical body more "transparent", more "permeable", and have not had any kriya now for some time. I feel this is behind, because I sense the energy circulating well all over the body.

So this energy wakes me up. Usually more around 3-4 am (probably no coincidence this is around Brahma Muhurtam) but sometimes also earlier. Some people mentioned cortisol peak but I am pretty sure it is not that. I have also at times had 1-2am wake-up from cortisol and the feeling is different.

I feel this is important. As if the Universe is waking me up telling me "time to do some work, buddy". I try to meditate, to integrate the vibration with my body and the accompanying humming sound, but it will not go away. Interestingly, even though I am not sleeping much, I don't feel so tired during the day. But still. And I feel I am missing something.

Can anyone direct me with some reading or reference that could help me with this?

What is this?

What shall I do?

Thanks in advance for your insights and guidance.

Activity in the back of my skull ("Mickeymouse Ears")

(related to my other post "humming / vibration / energy waking me up")

Hello there,

Can anyone help me understand and advise how to handle two manifestations of energy. Both seem to be related to kundalini. I tend to not trigger kundalini rises voluntarily, but sometimes I do. The two manifestations are not exclusively linked to a recent rise, but much stronger and frequent after I had a rise.

The first is a feeling of the back of my skull being broken open, or having significant energy flowing through there. Not so much through the crown chakra, instead just above the ears and the whole back part of my skull.

The second is strong humming / vibration / energy waking me up - I have taken this one in another post to keep the two topics separated for discussion, though these events seem related.

But now I have this feeling behind the head, that would last for hours the next day. I did not find much about it in several books I read, except for one author refering to "Mickeymouse Ears" which describes the feeling well but she did not provide any more details.

To me, it feels like secondary head chakras in active mode. As if Ida and Pingala exiting the head and joining back above my head. I sense I am closer to "oneness" when this happens. At times when this happens, I focus on activating Crown and 3rd eye chakra and a few times I had this perception of nature being covered by a blinking white-ish fog, and possibly seeing auras of trees but this may be my spiritual ego tricking me.

In fact, the "Mickeymouse Ears" feeling comes back again now that I am writing these lines!

Can anyone direct me with some reading or reference that could help me with this?

What is this?

What shall I do?

Thanks in advance for your insights and guidance.

This happened to me several times over the last year or two. I get wakened up at around 4:30am (daylight saving time, so 3:30 ish really) by an intense feeling of vibrations/energy in my whole body. The same kind of vibrations/energy I often feel in meditative states, but a bit stronger.

It feels like the Universe is giving me a wake-up call: "Time to meditate, buddy!".

I could not relate this to moon phases, evening meditation, food or anything I could think about. I do however remember a friend who mentioned to me that the best time to meditate is about this time (4am ish?) for a reason I can't recall. Is this related?

What is the meaning of this? I try to go back to sleep but can't so I meditate instead but this has a bit of a toll on fatigue during the day?

Any guidance / experience sharing would be much appreciated, I feel this is important.

I did a first shamanic trip with a friend guiding me. We went first to the lower, then to the higher worlds. Visualisation was very good, I could find one of my totem animals in the lower world, and felt my spirit guides (though did not see them) in the higher world.
Is this similar to astral projection / travel?

I believe I can do astral travel, not just mental projection. But I am not sure.

What makes me believe is a trip I did to a temple to experience a big energy wave that was due there that I very much felt, or a trip where I went way to far and was in lock-in mode for a while, or the challenge I had to come back (I feel a bit above/behind my head and clumsy for a few hours) which I fixed by now, or the feelings I have when I cruise the universe and fly through stars, or just my "guru" telling me I go quickly and easily into expanded levels of consciousness and talking about my astral trips. But I don't know how much any of this is "proof".

What makes me doubt I can is that I don't see other people; I see places or nature very vividly, but I do not "see" people like I read from others. I do "feel" them a bit, but just faint.

Another clue: when I did a shamanic trip guided by a friend, he could see me but I could not see him though I could see my totem, place and nature very vividly too, possibly hinting at a problem of me zapping out people or not at the right vibrational state rather than being in a mental vs astral trip. But here I am assuming that a shamanic trip is similar to astral travel.

Can anyone provide some help on what I am doing wrong?
