Troubleshooting part 2

Good afternoon everyone,
This is a follow up attempt after using some recommendations from my previous post. Using a clean graphite crucible and nothing else but pure silver.

Pour info:
.999 silver -985c (using 100% pure silver crystal)
Flask temp -600c
Pulling 27-29in vacuum on flask at time of pour (gauge verified)

I have a propane torch pointed at the bowl of the mold as I pour, as well as map gas on the crucible. All pours happen quickly after crucible is removed from the furnace. I let the vacuum pump run for ~1min after the pour, then I shut it off as well as the propane torch at that time. I wait 14 minutes before flask quench and model removal.

When removing the plaster, these bubble areas are already shiny, leading me to think it’s likely an air pocket forming somehow? I’m unsure what would cause these pockets under such a heavy vacuum.

Thank you for all of the advice in the previous post, I know this is a likely problem I’m causing, but I’m self taught and struggling to identify this problem.

Troubleshooting

Good afternoon everyone,
I’m attempting to troubleshoot why these shiny inclusions are happening on my pours. Pour info:
.999 silver -970c (using 100% pure silver crystal)
Flask temp -600c
Pulling 27-29in vacuum on flask at time of pour (gauge verified)

I have a propane torch pointed at the bowl of the mold as I pour, as well as map gas on the crucible. All pours happen quickly after crucible is removed from the furnace. I let the vacuum pump run for ~1min after the pour, then I shut it off as well as the propane torch at that time. I wait 25 minutes before flask quench and model removal.

When removing the plaster, these bubble areas are already shiny, leading me to think it’s likely an air pocket forming somehow? I don’t believe it’s leftover wax, as the button shows a similar bubble on its underside and that portion of the mold was verified completely smooth before pour. Mold was also blown out before use.

Any pointers would be incredibly helpful, I’m currently self taught and hoping to find any kind of knowledge possible!

Thanks!

Divorce Lawyer

Good morning everyone, I'm attempting to hire a reasonable divorce lawyer for a simple divorce and I'm looking for any and all advice.

My ex and I are very cordial, we have no assets to split and no children. We've been separated for over 6 years at this point, lol, so I'm hopeful this can be a relatively easy experience minus the expenses. The only complicating factor is she lives in Kentucky, and that's also where the marriage license was filed.

I have zero experience with lawyers and a minimal amount to spend to cover the process, so I'm hopeful someone may know of a lawyer/firm that will be ideal for this kind of simple divorce around here.

Thanks in advance!

Silver Crystal Display

Hey all, been recovering silver and my cell has been making some cool slightly chunky pieces. Thought I would put the best ones in these little displays, as my LCS has asked about selling some silver in crystal form. That’s a full ounce, in a cool lil package. Fragile though!

Hopefully soon I’ll be back listing some items over on PMsforsale, until then I just wanted to drop some pictures!

This should be easy, but I don't know where to start

Hey all,

To clarify my title, I feel like my divorce should be a simple one but I don't know where to start or what to expect time and $ wise.

I (Indiana resident) and my ex-wife (Kentucky resident) have been separated since 2019. Were very cordial, have no joint assets we still share and no children. Our marriage license is based out of Kentucky. We've not had a need for a divorce, at this point we are both just starting to date again and it seems like it would be an ideal time to go ahead with the "paperwork" side of things to make it official.

I'd like to obviously do this as quickly and as cost effectively as possible, but it seems like trying to find a lawyer to do this simply (essentially, with as little of my involvement as needed) is difficult if I'm just cold calling places and explaining my situation over and over again. Do you guys have any advice how to start this process so it doesn't seem like such a large hill to climb?

Thanks for any advice you guys are willing to share!
