How to do I get the bank feed to pull transactions older than 90 days on QBO?

I just set up my first client ever using Quickbooks Online and I had them connect the bank feed. I watched them set it to pull transactions starting January 1, 2025 but now when I am trying to beginning my work it is only pull transactions from the past 90 days.

Is there some trick it to get the older transaction to be pulled in? I have printed bank statements of the past months, I was thinking I can maybe scan them and use docuclipper to convert to csv file and then import that into quickbooks. Would the be the right step?

If anyone can help it would be appreciated, this is my first ever client I don't to make any big mistakes. Thank you!

How far in advance do I need to schedule my exam with Prometric?

I was not aware of how long the process of applying to sit for the Exam would be so I left it pretty last minute. I am currently waiting to receive my Notice to Schedule (NTS) from the NASBA. But my question is once I receive it can I schedule a test with Prometric for 1-3 days out? Or are they usually booked? Or do they have long processing times?

I am in Los Angeles area so I'm not sure if that helps or hurts the availability.

What to expect on Task based Sims for FAR

What should I expect for the Task based simulations for the FAR exam.

I am 100 hours into studying for FAR and I have been speed running this whole process. FAR is the first exam I am tackling and so far the multiple choices I can tell are my stronger area compared to TBS.

I just hate reading all the damn pop ups. I was never a good nor fast reader so it picks on my weakness. Some of becker's TBS are so damn long and some are short. Is it realistic to see those shorter ones on the actual exam? And I heard there is usually 7 of them and 50 MCQ, is that true?

Also side question, what gets tested the heaviest usually? It seems like Becker is insinuating it will be bonds.

The Age Old Debate, Audit vs Tax

I'm sure there are plenty of posts debating this but I wanted to share my few questions and seek some advice for my personal situation.

I'm entering my last semester of college while simulations studying for my CPA exams and working in a small Tax prep and bookkeeping firm. I have an offer in Jan 2027 for Tax at a big four. But as I am making moves to set up my future I am trying to align my current decisions with my long term goals. Originally my goal was to open my own tax small tax firm and be some badass CPA that can help smaller businesses (1-10M) tax plan and optimize their business.

But I've also been thinking maybe instead of the entrepreneur route I could go into Audit and make a good exit to a startup where I could get stock comp or become CFO somewhere. I have always been into stocks and helping take a company public would be really interesting to me.

Either way my goal is make a loads of money and I am just not sure which one is the better route because I can't exactly pin point my desired end goal.

So many dreams in this world with such little time to chase them all.

Or ditch it all and travel the states in a van.........

Big 4 Salary Progression

I have a job offer from a Big 4 in Los Angeles. It’s for Tax and the starting pay is $94k which sounds like a good start but I’m wondering where it could get bumped up to in 3 to 5 years or what I could realistically get if I shifted out in that same time frame.

Side question: My goal has always beeen to run my own firm for tax and estate planning but I am also open to working for big companies if pays well but from my understanding you can only really get well paid industry and private jobs after working Audit in Big 4.

Hoping someone with experience in either situation can give some insight

Stable business to start with 200k

I have a white collar job and want to start / buy a business on the side. I have around 200k to invest. I want something stable that I can operate from a distance, check in around 1-2 days a week. Something where you don’t need super talented employees. Think smoke shop, liquor store, dry cleaning. Just something that can get me higher returns on my money instead of the stock market. I live in Los Angeles so it would need to be something that works in this area. I was leaning towards a smoke shop but with recent crackdowns on vapes and other products I feel like it’s a bad business to get into
