Hear me out. The reason Trump has a rock solid 30+% approval rating is that a large percentage is made up of the emboldened underground...the 4 chan folks and their ilk who never were counted in historical polling because they were rightfully disenfranchised. They lived in the dark rooms of the online radicalized with only fever dreams of power and mainstream acceptance. Enter Trump who opens the door to all of them. They are gleeful and know there's no home for them anywhere else but under the protection of the grifter in chief. They fiercely target anything that threatens their newfound legitimacy.

Add to that the fact that their mainstream acceptance offers platforms to further radicalize others and grow their ranks.

Trump will never hit the Bush line. He can blow up the rule of law, the constitution, the American experiment itself and they will be with him, because they have nowhere to go but back underground.
