I have been using tarte shape tape 12N for ages (I can't help it, it covers my undereyes so well). I am looking online and 12S looks like it could actually be more neutral/olive friendly and less pink.

Does anyone have swatches/comparisons/tried either?

I am looking for comparison tips/ swatches of Tarte Shape Tape 12N v 12S and I can't seem to find anything online.

I have used 12N for ages but 12S looks more neutral to me online. I am very neutral with an olive undertone, so I am thinking S might work!

Does anyone happen to have both for comparison?

I have been overhauling my makeup after learning that I am a warm-neutral light muted olive earlier this year (posts here have been so helpful!). I am slowly making sense of all the odd undertone and mismatch issues I have dealt with but I am completely stuck at bronzer.

My general shade:
I haven't found a perfect foundation match but I am light, muted, neutral olive. My closest so far are:

  • OGEE Aspen, liquid formula - looks nothing like the swatch on me but so close
  • Tower 21 Melrose - a bit pink
  • About Face L2OLIVE - vanishes on my hand and is maybe a technical match but just looks a little bit off

My bronzer saga:
I don't necessarily want a ton of warmth but I do look better when I create contrast. I typically use a bit of a brighter concealer and some contour but I feel like my usual look is really missing something and I think it's something bronzer-y.

The last bronzer that I actually liked was an old Victoria Secret baked bronzer from probably 15 years ago. I am so unhappy with every bronzer I try that I have almost been enticed buy the ancient artifacts on eBay.

Right now I am so desperate that I have been using self tanner (I like Isle of Paradise but only the Ultra Dark express, which also has me searching the depths on eBay because it's never in stock, but that's a different issue...) as sort of a bronzer-contour situation, and sometimes I just use eyeshadow (but nothing is quite right).

My question:
Is there a truly neutral bronzer? I like the look of a baked bronzer over completely matte but I am open to anything, eyeshadow or something creative included. Kosas looks so off on me (as do all the Nars bronzers and everything else I've tried).

I have been tempted by the Milani baked bronzers (specifically Amalfi Glow or Tuscan Tan) but I am wondering if they are really as neutral and devoid of orange as they appear online in the pan, as I see swatches that look completely different.
