Need a volunteer to help me🤌🏻🤌🏻

I need a volunteer who is willing to slap me across the face whenever I even think about ordering through this shitty app!! I ordered something and immediately found a better price on another app. Hadn’t been even 2 minutes and requested cancellation or price match and the customer service guy took 15 minutes just to say nothing can happen! Either get the food or loose everything!!
I don’t know how this is exactly legal.

So let me know if anyone volunteers 🫠

Hello All,
Got to know about this center through this subreddit itself. Wanted to know if anyone has more info? If they had an experience giving the TCF Canada exam there and if they cleared it.

Would you accept a 2.5-year bond with a ₹2.5 lakh penalty for an 8 LPA role?

I recently cleared the HR round for a role at Cvent (Project Consultant/Event Tech), and before they'll move me to the next interview round, they want a verbal confirmation that I'm okay with their employment bond.

Here's the situation:

  • Salary: ~₹8 LPA
  • Role: New domain for me (SaaS/Event Technology)
  • 5-day work week
  • Hybrid after training
  • 2.5-year employment bond
  • ₹2.5 lakh penalty for leaving early
  • ₹80,000 security cheque (HR said it's generally not encashed unless someone leaves during training, but I don't have the written policy yet)

What concerns me is that they're asking me to verbally agree to the bond before I can even continue with the interview process, and they aren't willing to share the detailed contract at this stage.

The recruiter mentioned that there have been cases where employees left after 1-1.5 years due to genuine medical or family emergencies and were released, but that's apparently handled case by case and isn't guaranteed.

My dilemma is this:

  • I genuinely like the role and the salary.
  • However, I have no prior experience in SaaS or event technology.
  • I don't know what the actual work environment or manager will be like.
  • Committing to 2.5 years before knowing whether I'll even enjoy the role feels like a huge risk.
  • ₹2.5 lakh is a significant amount for me, so this isn't something I can take lightly.

For people who've worked at companies with similar bonds:

  1. Did the company actually enforce the penalty if someone resigned early?
  2. Were bonds negotiated or waived in genuine situations?
  3. Would you personally accept such a bond for a role in a completely new industry?
  4. Is it a red flag that they expect verbal acceptance before allowing me to continue interviewing?

I'm looking for genuine experiences rather than legal advice. I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who's worked at Cvent or another company with a similar employment bond.

(I have used AI for better flow of my thoughts)
TIA

Refer required of a Delhi based Bridal MUA who offers trials as well

Hello Desi people!

I need references of bridal MUAs (under 30k) who offer trials as well (willing to pay upto 3k) based in Delhi. My best friend is getting married in December and finding the right MUA is under one of my responsibilities as the bridesmaid. She is someone who never uses makeup and is unsure what kind will suit her. Also, her preference is skin like finish with light blush and no glitter so need someone who can give her a glow up without glamming IYKWIM.

TIA

TCF Canada Centres in India: My Experience & Research

Since a lot of people keep asking where they should book their TCF Canada exam in India, here’s a breakdown based on my personal experience and the research I’ve done across different centres.

As of now, there are 4 main centres in India:

  • Delhi → Computer-based
  • Kolkata → Computer-based
  • Bhopal → Pen & paper
  • Bangalore → Pen & paper

Registration Process

The booking systems are different depending on the centre.

Delhi & Bangalore

These centres usually open registrations once every month.

Bhopal & Kolkata

These centres release multiple dates together, usually around 3-4 months in advance.

As of the day I’m writing this:

  • Bhopal has most July seats sold out already, with only one date left around 31st July, and then availability from August onwards.
  • Kolkata currently has seats available mostly from September onwards because earlier dates have already been booked.

So if you’re planning around Express Entry draws, TEER points, or CRS cutoffs, do NOT wait till the last minute to book.

Delhi Registration Experience

Since I don’t have enough information about Bangalore’s registration process, I’ll specifically talk about Delhi here.

Compared to Kolkata and Bhopal, the Delhi booking process is honestly extremely frustrating.

The seats usually disappear within 5-10 minutes.

Their server is poorly managed and crashes repeatedly during booking windows because a large number of candidates are trying to register at the same time.

Many people don’t even get the opportunity to properly check the available dates before everything gets sold out.

The process itself becomes mentally exhausting because:

  • the website keeps crashing,
  • payments sometimes fail,
  • and people spend hours refreshing and retrying.

For example, today one candidate successfully paid for a 24th June slot, the money got deducted from her account, but the portal showed an error afterward.

When she contacted the Delhi centre, she was told they had not received the payment.

The only options they gave her were:

  • either shift to 10th June (which was much earlier than she had planned for),
  • or defer to July.

For an exam this expensive, stressful, and important for immigration timelines, situations like these leave a really bad impression.

Exam Experience & Management

Delhi (Computer-Based)

From what I’ve personally experienced and heard from many others, the Delhi centre can feel very stressful overall.

The management and organization are not the best, especially on exam day. Many candidates leave feeling mentally drained before the exam even starts.

Kolkata (Computer-Based)

People generally report a smoother experience here compared to Delhi.

Another important point:

After researching score patterns and talking to multiple candidates, I personally feel the scoring in Delhi appears stricter than Kolkata, especially in speaking.

I’ve seen people scoring around 13-14 in Kolkata struggle to cross 10 in Delhi.

Even more concerning is the difference some candidates receive after re-evaluation.

In my own case, my speaking score jumped from 5 to 9 after re-evaluation.

That is a massive difference, especially for immigration purposes.

So if your score feels unusually low compared to your preparation level, re-evaluation may genuinely be worth considering.

Bhopal & Bangalore (Pen & Paper)

There’s comparatively less information available about Bangalore.

For Bhopal though, most feedback I’ve seen has been positive regarding management and overall experience.

However, since it is pen-and-paper based, it may not suit everyone.

If:

  • you dislike writing by hand,
  • make frequent spelling mistakes while writing quickly,
  • or are more comfortable typing,

then computer-based centres may feel easier for you.

Also, in pen-and-paper centres, you do not immediately know your reading/listening scores the way many computer-based candidates do, so the waiting period can feel longer and more stressful.

Result & Re-evaluation Timelines

From what I’ve observed, most centres nowadays give results within approximately 7-21 days, regardless of whether the exam is computer-based or pen-and-paper.

However, many candidates do receive them much earlier as well.

Re-evaluation timelines are even more unpredictable and seem highly subjective.

For example:

  • I personally received my re-evaluation result within around 10 days.
  • Another candidate I know waited almost 2.5 months.
  • In that same case, the score increased significantly from 9 to 14 after re-evaluation.

So if you apply for re-evaluation, be mentally prepared for both possibilities:

  • either a fairly quick response,
  • or a very long waiting period.

Final Thoughts

Unless someone has strong financial constraints, travel limitations, or urgent time restrictions, I personally feel Kolkata or Bhopal may provide a comparatively smoother experience overall.

In my own case, I’m giving my third attempt in Delhi only because I cannot travel long distances easily.

Hope this helps someone make a more informed decision than I had when I first started this process.

Note: This post is based on my personal experience, discussions with other candidates, and independent research. It is not an official review of any centre.

Also, ChatGPT/AI was used only to improve the flow and readability of the post. The experiences and observations mentioned are genuine and written from real candidate experiences.
