What do the people of Canterbury think of their MP mourning and celebrating a paedophile?

Recently Rod Liddle passed away a "journalist" and anti lgbt activist Generally a bad person all around really. But he was most famous for defence of child pornography which he did not see any harm in enjoying he spoke at length about if he was a teacher he would have sex with children. He was invited to give a Christmas speech at a university where he ranted about trans people for over a hour straight.

Anyway Canterbury mp Rosie Duffield has endorsed him and offered condolences now as much as we all Duffield is a single issue mp (anti lgbt) do you think endorsing a paedophile is a step to far? Even if they both share anti lgbt views?

Unknown Computer desktop appeared on my nans smart telly?

I was in watching tv at my nans house. The screen kept on freezing and breaking up like there was interference sound stopping and starting and occasionally screen going completely black then back to interference . Anyway at one point of this i noticed a windows computer desktop appeared the tv froze on this screen so I seen it fairly clearly but it was a windows computer desktop. Now I don't connect any laptop to the tv and no one else here has a computer so maybe I am being paranoid but what is this should I be worried? I don't have a tv myself so don't use them normally. After it appeared and frozen on screen for a bit it then when back to interference froze occasionally going entirely black after some time it went back to normal.

Is the BBC entirely funded by the TV licence?

Genuinely interested to know the answer to this. Is the BBC funded entirely by license or is some through taxes?

Why do journalists seem to despise trans people on a personal level?

In Britain its quite obvious that a very large part of the job and a significant amount of newspapers themselves are made up with anti trans content. To the point if there is not really anything to report on the day they will have to trawl reddit for something or just make something up. While I understand why on a professional level they go after trans people , its profit and power. Recently I noticed reading the extracts of these newspapers that these journos are absolutely dripping with hatred, like genuinely can barely disguise their pure unadulterated hatred it oozes off the page, now these are people who likely never meet trans people in their daily lives. So it begs the question why is this the case? Is this something newspapers question them on at the interview? Do they themselves actually become radicalised by their own newspapers? Are the the vast majority of people who wish to work at newspapers in the first place already morally bankrupt? What is anyones thoughts on this?

How is Portugal for trans people?

I am a passing trans person I live my life in stealth. But Britain has become pretty untenable, I can only really reliably exist as long as I am sure I can remain hidden. Frankly I think the government is determined to not allow that. As a result I feel like I can't put down roots and am on borrowed time. As a result I have leave the country. I wanted know if Portugal is a accepting place. I ask about Portugal because I loved it and thought it was a beautiful place when I visited and the people seemed nice. I am aware I will probably have to take a pay cut and put in work to learn Portuguese quickly. Other options include Ireland which has benefit of speaking English and Spain.
