I've been dreaming of visiting this place for years and finally took the leap this weekend. It is such a magical place! There's an incredible, ethereal, otherworldly energy here. I felt like I was on the edge of the universe watching the Milky Way behind haystack rock.
I'm aware that proper storage/cellaring is needed for wines to evolve properly and maintain their flavor profile. Yet, I'm completely blown away at how beautifully several of the older wines I've opened recently have been showing. For context, I have about 150 bottles in my air conditioned spare bedroom, which is obviously a far cry from the proper temperature and humidity needed. Is wine more resilient than we are led to believe?
I'm starting to lose my mind. Anytime I drive on a road that is not perfectly smooth there is an extremely annoying clicking noise coming from the left pillar. It's the point where I have to have the windows down and music blasting to drown out the noise. I find this completely unacceptable for a two year old car with only 20,000 miles. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm at my wits end. I live on Alaska Ave west of California Ave and the speeding is out of control. Cars and landscaping crews with heavy equipment bombing down the hill at 60 mph every single f*cking day. It is out of control. I watched a young child nearly get hit yesterday leaving the park. We need speed bumps badly!

I just had to go through the most stringent process in my life to get a rental. Had to meet the owners at a local cafe for an interview before they would even show me the property. They refused to give me the address beforehand so I could drive by and check it out. Demanded multiple references, paystubs, tax returns, called former employers and landlords etc... They demanded three months of rent upfront and a security deposit. I assumed that since their standards of approval were so high that I would be moving into a professionally cleaned apartment with no issues. Turns out they are total slumlords. The apartment was never cleaned. Multiple recessed lights aren't working. Multiple power outlets aren't working. There are broken drawer handles in the kitchen. There are scuffs in the walls and baseboards that were never filled and painted over (something they promised to take care of when I first viewed the place). When I brought up these issues they responded that they would take care of them in the next couple of weeks with zero sense of urgency. I'm absolutely blown away. Is this normal?
I recently purchased a higher end SUP and the deckpad is off center. The manufacturer is trying to convince me that this is normal for inflatables and there will always be "some variance on every board". I just want a board with a centered deckpad and I've never dealt with this issue. In my opinion it is a quality control issue. Am I being unreasonable in wanting to exchange this?
