Should i give MCAT one more try?
got my score back and I was soo disappointed. Honestly I didn't study that much for the retake because I have a full time job at lab (45hrs/wk) and my family relies on this income since my parents are disabled and ill to work any job; therefore, I can't take any day off. I am planning to apply for 24-25 cycle and I don't know if I need to give another attempt for January MCAT. I drained my emergency fund to buy aamc material and register the exam, and it feels defeated that all of my sacrifices were for nothing.

Rabbits With “Horns” in Colorado
Those spiky, antler-like growths sprouting from cottontail rabbits’ faces around Fort Collins, Colorado, aren’t a mutation or hoax, they’re caused by Shope papillomavirus (also called cottontail rabbit papillomavirus), first identified by Dr. Richard E. Shope at Rockefeller University in the 1930s. The virus, spread between rabbits by fleas and ticks, produces wart-like keratin growths that can lengthen into dark, horn-like spikes, especially in summer and fall when biting insects are active.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife has confirmed it’s harmless to humans and pets and doesn’t spread across species, the rabbit’s own immune system usually clears it eventually, though the growths can interfere with eating if they spread near the mouth or eyes. It’s also the leading scientific theory behind the centuries-old jackalope myth, and the same viral family later helped researchers understand the link between papillomaviruses and cancer, including human HPV.
The Chernobyl Piglet That Shows Radiation's Cost in Flesh
It’s a real specimen on permanent display, showing a piglet born with a condition called dipygus, where identical twins fail to fully separate, leaving one head attached to a duplicated lower body. According to Wikimedia Commons’ cataloging of the exhibit, the specimen is part of the collection of genetics professor Viacheslav Konopolov at the Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum in Kyiv, where the display’s own caption translates simply to “mutated piglet.” Getty Images’ archival caption for a related specimen in the same museum describes it as the deformed corpse of a piglet stillborn on a farm near the Chernobyl reactor after the 1986 disaster.
Livestock and wildlife deformities were documented in the contaminated zones around Chernobyl and neighboring Belarus in the years following the meltdown, and specimens like this one form part of the museum’s broader collection on the disaster’s biological toll, alongside radiation-scorched tree branches, liquidator equipment, and photographs of the affected region
How to get good grades as an average student
My exam has improved from 84% to 97% ever since I realized this.
If there is one thing I realized, it would be that school isn't always raw intelligence. You can be smart, but you could also find some topics hard. Because what's actually important is consistency and knowing exactly what the teachers want.
You just gotta be strategic enough.
So what I started doing is to always pay attention to what kind of questions show up in a test, what kind of answers earn the most marks, and where I usually lose points, then I adjust my way of studying around all those observations.
That's how I have good study methods that work for me, and ace my exams. Because if you want to have good grades as an average student, you always have to be one step ahead.
Sat first time in an Business class due to ugc
A few years ago, I couldn’t imagine spending money on a business class ticket. Even getting my first paid UGC project felt like a huge achievement. I started with a phone, a lot of uncertainty and no idea where this career would take me.
There were months of pitching brands with barely any replies, Months of questioning whether I was good enough. But I kept creating, kept pitching and slowly, things started changing.
Today, I’m sitting in a business class seat that I paid for with money I made through UGC, The seat feels amazing, but the feeling behind it means much more to me.
If you’re at the beginning right now, keep going, Some of the things you dream about today can become completely normal parts of your life later.
